David King said we looked poor at times.

Which led to Kane Cornes saying we must have a premiership hangover.

The season is done.
Cornes was really salivating over that one sentence in Kings tweet wasn't he? He mentioned it at least a dozen times during his show yesterday.

I'll post videos later (have to go out) but got there this morning (still going) nothing ground breaking but from what I saw - NO FN FLAG HANGOVER, the players looked in ripping condition and the beep test was good to watch, IQ the king of "BEEP" but some of the big guys hang on well till the end notably Eyres.

Lots of high Tech equipment which is unreal compared to what I remember.

I mentioned in an earlier post about size and wouldn't be too different to last year, I may have been wrong, some of the young guys are certainly bigger to look at.

More to come later

Great to see young Edward coming in at second. Mighty impressive.

Just to add quickly from my previous post - AE is a specimen and a half. Ran well in Beep test and has a great rig, hopefully becomes a great footballer as well

Swoopy beat me to it.

Big thing from training being that Ed Allan seems to have arrived as a cardio beast. Beating Lippa and Nick Daicos in the beep test, plus all other mids (sidey and pendles missing)

Harry D also v impressive, coming in top 8 or so… beating Mitchell and Jakob Ryan.

Go pies

When we knew we where Certainties for the Flag;)

I spoke to Eyre's dad yesterday at the end of training, very nice fellow. I think he may come back tomorrow, he has some time off work he said.

Mentioned a few things I don't think are too personal I shouldn't be able to share:

He said Josh loves it at the club, he finally gets to enjoy footy. Is really enjoying the aspect of competing for a spot, really has a huge competitive nature once he crosses that line. When he was training for a spot at the saints, he was training with no real competition given saints had 2 spots and 2 players training with them. Of course he then did his hammy. Maybe in some ways, that was a blessing as he wouldn't be with us right now.

He's actually working with some people to make sure his hamstrings are good. Understands that footy is a rough business and they want to make sure players are durable. But so far he feels good with his body.

Josh has always been a late developer physically. He's slowly getting bigger. He's the youngest of our SSP prospects. Only just turned 21. His dad envisions he won't be fully physically at his peak for a few years, and sees his body ending up similar to Darcy Moore. That type of physic.
If Eyre's hammies check out surely we take him.

Great work Jen - is the Greek person who played in the vafa going well?

Allan coming 2nd in the beep test ahead of Lippa, Nick and Sidebum is doing some things to me.

The least impressive prospect apart from his running. Did a nice thing today with pressing up on the opposition.

EA? Second in the beep test is very impressive for someone who also won the 20m sprint test at the draft testing. Speed and endurance with his 194cm height is a great combination. Has good skills too. Huge upside

Saw eyre’s dad again today. He said Josh is 199cm and he seems optimistically confident. But he is giving it his all and hope for the best.

He is really competitive and hates losing. This was shown in a 1 v 1 with Murphy. He had control of the ball until Murphy got him at the last second. He was angry with himself.

Do you support King's assessment in comparison to what you saw last year, Jen?

A little rusty I agree but that was to be expected first session. Today was better
