Going back to look at an earlier season game for Cumming, playing through the midfield at U18s level and putting together an impressive performance. He won more contested ball than we often see from Sam but was still able to showcase that powerful and dynamic outside game at times to set up his forwards with inside 50 delivery.

Why is it that we get linked to Grlj so much as a needs-based selection, but never Cumming?

One thing I noticed in the mocks is RFC is positioned well because if someone slides we really like we can use a future second where most clubs hesitant to trade a future first to get the pick to get the slider with the club offering the pick.

the other thing is Swans might want pick 38 from us to get all their academies?? would they trade a future second, we give back a future third or fourth for them to get our pick 38 to match?? maybe they throw in a future third as well

Nah but has always been list manager? I figured he started as a recruiter. In any case, he would surely have a bit of a say in who we draft. Or maybe that is entirely up to the recruiting manager. I'm not sure how the two roles work together at clubs

If we're selecting Grij we need to split that pick no brainer and make it 2.

As Twomey and others have said, there’s unlikely to be any movement at the top of the drafts, as there are few teams that have the draft capital AND be willing to trade up to enable us to split our pick.

If there is, it’s more likely it’ll be pick 2 with West Coast than with us.

If we want Grjl we have to take him with one of our first two picks.
