So Twomeys first phantom just dropped I really miss Laura Kane I want to hear her gaslight us all again saying the draft isn’t compromised it’s complex…
Of the 25, 8 are club tied so assuming no one uses r1 picks for bid matching, that would mean 26 picks round one except add in free agency compo for TDK and Allen that’s 28 and if Draper and Worpel get end of first round it could be 30 picks.

Brisbane to get an academy player in the top 5, potentially, after getting 2 father son midfielders in top couple of picks the previous 2 years. They are going to be set for a long, long time.

Gold Coast rorting another crazy good hand as well.

Significant changes have to be made still to this still, it looks terrible to have clubs fighting for the top 4 getting the access to elite talent.

I haven't followed the draft for a couple of years now. Did have a little look at some Oliver Greeves vision. Normally I don't like big lumbering type mids, but he has some agility. The anti Ned Long. If we keep the pick, I'd be very happy with him. Looks composed, strong and agile. Jack Steele

Just caught up on draft watching post the champs and other leagues and I am warming to Jevan Philippou. Moves a lot like day, a good user on both sides and can play inside and out. I now have him ahead of Greaves. If we hold the pick I think he’s exactly what we need to complement our midfield.

I don't mind Dovaston at our first pick. It's probably going early but I think he could be the Poppy to Wiz's Cyril.

At our first pick perhaps not Carlton’s. There’s a world he gets to blues second although surely Carlton or dogs get him prior. He’s Wizard lite we should be prioritising a mid at our pick. Also is he even the best small forward Taylor Byrne moving swiftly up draft boards.

I love the look of Josh Lindsay.
If he could get his tank up to AFL midfield requirements , he could be our Hayden Young.
I am big on midfielders that hit a target.
This is why I am not won over by Petracca and Walsh. I would prefer to go to the draft and get Lindsay.

Agree. Frenchie is still a nice player.

Is Matthaes form of fig jam that bad? Seems like he will try his absolute, showed respect after the draft to staff. If there aren’t any examples, I have no issue with him and hope we get Jevan if he fits our needs.

I think we trade out our first to get that experienced mid we need though.

I think there is a difference between arrogance and confidence. Watson and Ginnivan are self aware enough to know they're not the best, Mattheas would have picked himself pick 1 in the Harley Reid draft

As an Australian who has lived many years abroad, I’m torn. I like egalitarianism but also confidence and I can’t stand tall poppy. To make the AFL you have to be an elite footballer so I have 0 concerns and tbh I haven’t seen the FIGJAM stuff people refer to post draft. God the expectations placed on 17 year old boys is ridiculous I’m glad I didn’t have to live up to those standards I would have failed miserably!
I still think we we’re remiss not taking Philippou and having them both would be elite.

He was a 17yo kid being asked a question and from all accounts gave the answer that he felt that they wanted. Even if he did mean it, there is hardly anything wrong with a kid saying he'd pick himself in the draft.

Idk I think Watson would have. He is self aware and his talent is of that of an elite footballer.

Carlton’s first pick would be a bit high for him. Looking to be pick 4-8

If we could upgrade Carlton’s second pick which we have, would be very close!

Looking forward to watching the replay then as that’s equivalent to the wizard! He’s currently rated 15-25 so seems high.

Why not? Take best available.

Dovaston showed an ability to generate shots on goal and apply defensive pressure in a big match against quality VFL opposition. We can easily move Moore to the midfield and have another pressure player forward.

He's not at the level of an underage Wiz but he's close. And I like the idea of another Wiz.

There will be plenty of options around our pick assuming we still have it. I'd take Greaves before him
