Well he probably expected them to actually play him in the ruck and not forward 70% of the time. Freo almost deserve it for their stubbornness to not trade Darcy.
He went to a club with a pure ruck already, can't complain if he gets played forward

Pickett is really good as well.

It's not the worst thing in the world for Freo if they did a straight swap.
Garry Lyon says that Jackson wants to go back to Dees. But there is no way Dees give up Kossy. Why Garry? Well, he has two more years on his contract. Really Garry? Jackson has 4 years on his.

Well the Wrexham v Melbourne Victory game is locked in for the Friday So we will be the 4th game on that weekend. The surface will be ****ed, you watch someone do a knee and **** their 2026 season.

Friday night Sydney Derby with the new fixture release how goodView attachment 2315054
What am I missing with there only being two Sunday arvo games but a double up on Friday night? They just cannot let the Northern clubs have their time to shine can they?

Absolutely horrific news. I feel a tiny piece of the family's pain and shock. So so sorry for all of them.

What an earth is happening, another tragedy so close to the last.. can only imagine what the family is going through, can only hope they all get the support they need to try and get through this.

Since the 2024 thread was closed on 1 January nobody has missed this thread - but I have something to post that seems to belong him, so I'm starting it up.

This interesting op ed by Caroline Wilson is all about the AFL leadership: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl...instance=2025-05-16-17-33-AEST&jobid=31472015. Apparently Dillon's leadership is under a cloud and could be in question. For me he hasn't made much of an impression - I've barely noticed him and that has actually been a pleasant change compared to Demetriou and McLachlan. However it may mean he's been ineffectual.

Reference is made to the fact that Goyder's term as Chairman of the Commission expires at the end of this year. As far as I'm concerned, he's dismal and that's good news. Reference is made to David Koch and our own Andrew Pridham as possible successors.

Reference is also made to the AFL trying to get their hands on Tom Harley. I guess we'll lose him one day but the longer we hang on to him the better as far as I'm concerned.

I'm also worried about losing Pridham. While he's no Richard Colless I think he may be better than Rob Morgan and Greg Paramor who lurk in the background on our Board.

It wouldn't be a bad thing to have a senior swans representative at the top. Honestly, the sooner that happens the better. If it's Pridham or Harley I'd be very happy to have them there. They know the market and the challenges we face day in day out.

“Hey Billy, Justin McInerney is actually injured so make sure to remove him completely from the list before you go.”

“No worries boss!” :

Just having a look at the game again. The ground was very lush. Far too lush. They have it that way for NRL. But for AFL they normally cut closer to the turf. I wonder if they cutting lush due to the new turf they laid? Having seen lots of close UK shots, the grass is so long you can see the Tufts of grass sticking up.
