MFC removed the video. 😂 Was Tim Lamb ask Kalani White if he wanted to be taken as a father and son and he said yes. Maybe he changed his mind. 🎓
You had me worried about the club removing our favourite videos, but fortunately, Simon's Sign Off is still available to view.

Ill be looking back on this classic for years to come, much like the one of Paul Roos going off on Dean Terlich.

To think that's the kitchen where Simon Goodwin told Brad Green to GAGF 🥲

Brad Green was the alpha in that conversation, told Goody his bolognese sucks but it was his coaching that really made him throw up.

Well, Melbourne has headed down that path for awhile. JUH clearly isnt a clean skin and has made a mess of his career, but this just seems grubby to me. Its OK if you dont agree. I just think reporting that he was there but wasnt involved was pointless and screams pile on.
This is the bloke who was posting details of Oliver's medical info on the board here 😂

Hi folks, didn't know where to post this. I have Ed Langdon in a keeper league and he's been very good. The 2nd half of this season his scoring has really tapered off. Is this due to age, or a change in position?
Cheers.

He's been playing half-forward a lot more to allow guys like Langford, Lindsay and Culley to get time on the wing. Not sure what happens next year with a new coach

Well i see all that 'i'm not going to influence your decision but i am going to hard nudge you towards the dees' has paid off for Jeff

I’m pretty sure he’s a 2026 eligible draftee. He was playing rep as a small build bottom ager which is always a good sign but no guarantee.
How does the academy work for us? Do we want the kids to look ok but not too good like Mac Andrew? Can we lock in a player in the 1st round or not? I'm guessing Sinnema will be like a 3rd rounder? What are we guessing we will need for Kalani? About the same?

Jason Taylor has a lot of credit in the bank, and rightfully so, he had an outstanding stretch between 2013-2019. But the well has run dry since then.

2019 looks like the last genuinely strong haul. And sure, it's always easy to look back with the benefit of hindsight and say "should've taken Murphy Reid instead of Lindsey." But een with that caveat, the returns have been flat at best, actively damaging at worst. It feels like every year we're reaching for blokes with negative expected value at their range. We're doing other clubs a favour by crossing their names off the board.

To date, Laser Laurie, JVR, Jefferson, Windsor, Tholstrup etc. haven't looked like they will exceed their draft range. JVR is regressing. Windsor has some tools but is far from proven. Laser and Tholstrup are list cloggers.

The only players since 2019 that genuinely look like they will outperform their draft spot are Langford and McVee. Beyond that, it is a lot of guys tracking below par. Two guys in five years is hardly a purple patch.

Taylor deserves his flowers for the work he did to build our 2021 side. But we're now five drafts on from the last decent haul and the cupboard is starting to look pretty bare. With more retirements coming from the 2021 core, the lack of value from recent classes is starting to bite. You can't live on past glories forever. If you consistently pick players below their expected output, the list eventually suffers.

At some point, the club needs to stop pointing at the 2021 cup and saying "job done". Hard calls need to be made with the personnel in our footy department. Too many that don't perform - Choco, Richo, Jones, Lamb

No Dees in the 22 Under 22 team.

Only Langford made the 40 man squad. This is despite the club having 5x top 15 picks during the past 3 drafts.

Taylor has lost his midas touch. By my count, 6 of the 22 were on the draft board when we had live picks.

Drafting is only part of the problem given our player development is so shit. Need to be nailing our early picks since the club will never be a FA/trade destination.

No first round pick this year and currently holding 23 and picks in the 50s. Draft experts forecasting Sinnema and Kalani as late/rookie selections.

Then the draft concessions for Tassie if they ever come in…

It’s going to be an ugly rebuild!

My understanding is we either use points to match a bid, or take our players with a live selection if they fall to our pick.

I don’t think Kalani is too highly rated but mock drafts will be dropping after finals and the combines.
