I was looking up this Tylar Young character that went to West Coast for pick 38. 27 years old and played 7 games this year for Richmond.

All for those deals to end up with a different offer for Merrett that Essendon take (or don't cause they are crazy) But the same currency is spent by us for that offer.

If Merrett doesn't end up at Hawthorn (I still think he will as Essendon actually want to trade him but are just pretending for as long as possible hoping we get desperate and keep upping the offer. )

It wont be because we didn't give it a fair and honest crack or offer overs. It will be because Essendon have made a poor list decision.

Someone said it early in the thread a fit Lewis, pick 9, f1 and f2 is more valuable than a 30 year old Merrett. I would pass and let Merrett stay at Essendon for another year

If said player is requesting a trade, then yes it is a possibility. Also no Hawk leaves until after September as we have the PCM. At that point they know if they want to request a trade.

Not sure it would seeing as Lewis himself has been injured quite a lot
Of any of the players touted as helping get the deal done, Lewis in my view is the one I believe we can afford to lose

Mature age KPD recruit played every game from 2023 till mid 2024 did ACL came back late in the year and played every game. If he's 38, 41 for CJ is fair.
