Bit early in career to throw him out though?
He has time to improve; his 25 is far superior to his 24. But right now he has a very clear gap in his driving and it means that he struggles to maximise his poorer weekends.

100%.Oscar could really use those points he forfeited back to Lando as requested by the team right now.
And I hope Oscar reminds them of that when they ask him to rear gunner Max when needed....
****ing let Max get right in there.
Oscar prefers the higher grip tracks.. for Qatar and Abu Dabi.... and Lando like to bottle it under pressure...
If Oscar cant win it... get Max his 5th - would luv to see ZB's face after that one.

that's a bit myopic.
Oscar binning it at Baku. Crashing in the US and Brazil sprints..
Lando running into the back of Oscar in Canada, DNF in Zandvoort...
all 3 have had their misfortunes.

To where? He’s under contract and of the top teams RB would be his only option. Wouldn’t want to cut his nose off to spite his face. We’ve seen this movie before.
Like I said, he has very few options. The upcoming significant rule changes may reset the field completely. Who knows which team(s) will be challenging in 2026. It is possible that McLaren completely stuff up their development for 2026 while a dark horse team emerges. Aston Martin have just sacked their CEO and team principal, but it's always difficult to write off a team that has Adrian Newey in charge of car design.
But Piastri isn't going anywhere, at least not for a while. He's under contract to McLaren to at least the end of 2027, and possibly longer.
LeClerc and Hamilton are at Ferrari for multiple years (Hamilton probably until the end of 2027). Tsunoda is probably going to be dumped at Red Bull at the end of the season (OOC this year) but being Max's teammate would not appeal. Mercedes have Russell and Antonelli under contract until at least the end of next year (Russell's commitment is probably longer). Alonso and Stroll are at Aston-Martin until the end of 2026. Possibly, Piastri could squeeze out one of those two drivers before their contract expires, but unlikely. Colapinto is OOC at the end of 2025, but I cannot see Piastri ever driving for Alpine after their history together. Haas can't afford Piastri. No room at Williams. No room at Audi. No room at Cadillac.
Liberty media licking their lips that mclarens found a way to fix the results so it goes to the final race.I’m getting Abu Dhabi PTSD
Agree. Watching things "live" can be whatever time you like if you dont know the result.Simplest solution to the late night viewing is to avoid all news when you wake up, go to the Kayo and watch from the start.
If it becomes a DRS Train you get the added win of ffwd x4, stop at any Yellows or Reds and then let the last 20 laps play as normal
2 hours can be done in 45 minutes and you get the Spoiler free version and your fresh to boot the next day!
Logically that one makes sense.Lando being asked to lift and coast when McLaren notice the plank wear while Oscar wasn’t told to do the same. It didn’t even measure on the Richter scale for me, the second driver energy is all to common.

My issue is group chats and newsfeeds that are full of it and I need to remember not to flick through it with my morning coffee.
Don’t think McLaren’s instructions helped in Melbourne, and likely lead to Piastri pushing harder. Free to race, Piastri gets within overtaking range, hold position, Piastri falls 2-3 seconds behind, free to race.Piastri running wide in Australia on the last corner in the race and having a cross-country adventure over wet grass also cost him points. I distinctly remember that one, because it happened in front of me.
We have a dedicated teams chat that is silent until everyone confirms they've either seen the race or are ok with spoilers.People in my office know I like my Formula One, so they routinely spoil race results for me on a Monday morning.
Is the problem the tyres? I thought the problem was caused by the decision to build the kerbs out of used razor blades? Is Qatar going to be a mandatory 2 stop again, or have they figured the tyres ?

Been real impressive the last few races, really starting to justify his spot in the team after a fairly shaky start.Antonelli 3rd. Massive result for him and not that far off 2nd.
