I highly doubt his manager or Nas, actually, gives two stuffs about the fans.

Would’ve thought Nas might’ve re his teammates, friends and coach but it’s not exactly looking like that from afar.

When you hear players talk about contract stuff they always just say "it's a business decision", I think they all realise that sometimes you have to leave to get paid or whatever. If they're good mates then they'll stay mates despite being in different cities.

Peaheart ruck and a C grade project back who doesn't seem to be particularly promising. If we lose Nas and take these two we need new list managers.

Pay him $2 million to match the SA clubs.
I see you're positioning yourself for the big "l told you so" in a few weeks time...

The guy who delisted Membrey and gave Billings to Melbourne for a future third rounder while paying his wage?

The future 3rd for Billings turned into Boxshall who is signed till the end of 2028 so at minimum he will be on an AFL list long after Billings.
Hopefully becomes much more than that as well.

I don't care who we get in, could be Butters and Bergman, DeKoning , Aleer, if we lose the best drafted player we have had since Riewoldt, it is an unmitigated disaster.

Wasn't Membrey offered a contract but took two from Collingwood? Never delisted.

For a change of topic, I would love us to find a money ball half forward with speed and ball use. Similar to what gws have done with Toby Bedford.

Hill is struggling, Wilson isn’t fitting the role and we want Hall in the midfield. We are also crying out for connection inside 50.

I wonder how many saints players Josh Battle or Tim Membrey catches up with on a regular basis ?.

Somehow I don’t think Nas will be too worried once he settles in at port if that’s his choice.

Guess that's what they were hoping for from Henry before his injuries. Hopefully with a full preseason he can rediscover some of that zip that's gone missing.

So much of this doesn’t make sense to me. He signs the first extension when he was on the verge of leaving. Since then he has developed incredibly close friendships with the playing group, has a great relationship with the senior coach, by all reports loves the club itself (which he grew up around), we have developed him into possibly the best player in the game with the world at his feet and a game plan set up around him. Then just when he is on the precipice of repaying the enormous amount of effort we have put into setting up his career (Wood, Hill, Auntie Katrina etc) he requests as trade to a team on the precipice of a huge cliff who has next to nothing to give us in return. The worst possible place he could request a trade to. Completely screwing us. By all reports is a great person well loved by the playing group, just doesn’t make sense.

It doesn’t even make sense for Port, they desperately need an influx of multiple young players over the next few years and they are gonna give it all up for one player. The only way they could satisfy something would be to trade Butters, but what’s the point of bringing in NAS just to trade your best player? Surely you bring in NAS to compete now. They would think a midfield of NAS, JHF and Butters is enough to compete no matter how bad it is around them. Dumb strategy.

Maybe there is something we don’t know about yet, some sort of family situation. Who knows, I hope not obviously. All logic points to him re-signing but why hasn’t he yet? Like a few on here I think the most likely outcome is a last minute signing on a 2 year deal when it becomes clear a trade isn’t happening. Which means this drags on until the end of the trade period…..
It’s quite possible we are all over thinking it.

Maybe Nasiah just wants to go home. It’s nothing to do with football.

He loves the club, his mates, everything. But it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t care that Port are on the decline, or that he had previously said that he wants to be part of the greatest Saints team ever, or that he loves the coach.

He is possibly delaying telling everyone because for some people these difficult conversations are distressing and he can’t bring himself to do it. Some people are not strong in that way.

I hope this is not the case, but it’s reaching a point where he needs to lance the boil because a lot of people are busting a gut to get this sorted and it’s unfair of him to let it drag on if he isn’t going to change his mind.

And if he’s going to stay he really should re-sign pronto. And he would know this.

Don’t give people false hope. Man up and make a call either way. Not sure he can extract much more juice from the lemon if he is staying.

We are setting a bad precedent by all the grovelling and now offing his cousin a chance for a spot when no other club wants him , what happens down the track when our next star wants out, do we offer his brother a potential spot on the list.
We all want Nas to stay but its getting out of hand IMO , we are behaving like the ugly girl at high school trying to get a date for the prom that will do anything that she has to to get one .
Offer him a fair and reasonable deal and say Nas you know we want you to stay but this is our final offer, The club has said how they want to be relevant well make a stand and while your at it WTF would you show the last quarter of last weeks game before todays match when we were putrid for the first 3 quarters and make out everything is all good.
I now expect to be shot down like a black duck at seasons opening

Ps , Berg this wasn't aimed at you
