It will be frustrating if he leaves (looks likely) and we don’t get any transparency from the club.

Find it hard to believe SOS didn’t lowball him (and probably Windy) at the start of the year.

If we lose Nas and Windy we have completely ****ed it.

I don't care who we get in, could be Butters and Bergman, DeKoning , Aleer, if we lose the best drafted player we have had since Riewoldt, it is an unmitigated disaster.

Ok? Most teams deal with this, it’s just apart of the game, if he leaves it’s cos he’s homesick, the one thing we can’t really do anything about.

We’ll be fine, we’ll move on, all it’ll be is unfortunate. A disaster, in my book, would be a systemic failure of our list build and development across the whole team, not just one player.

Regardless, would love him to stay, and I still think he will.

Wasn't Membrey offered a contract but took two from Collingwood? Never delisted.

Membrey was offered a one year contract from us. Pies offered two years.

Sharman, Owens and Pou (Pou to also rotate midfield) are our future third talls up forward.
Plus now add The Viking swinging forward at times.

Don't think we can bemoan Williams too much in all this. Managing a player in a contract year that has elevated to top five in the comp, he had to milk it.

Still think Nas stays as he will know that Port just can't pay anywhere near his value. As Hutchy said, they didn't plan for this.

I actually watched him a couple of times in the VFL. A game against Collingwood him and Nick Bryan looked a cut above the rest, he was dominant. Obviously only one game, and in 2023, but no doubt there is talent there.

It makes sense to me. I doubt RTB would be wanting the players to be focusing on that game as this week is a real danger game if we aren't in the right head space.
