Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Why do people value 2nd rounders so highly? Especially a Geelong 2nd rounder, who gives a **** about throwing that on top?

So happy we didn't trade Ro. Those picks do nothing for us right now and Ro makes Geelong better. If we seriously think we are a chance next year, why help Geelong?

Pretty sure they never offered their F1? That would've actually been a good deal but Geelong knew that and refused to do it

Pretty sad right now, but I know deep down it's probably the right call. Will take a while to get used to watching us play without Jack.

But we've lost heart and soul players before and we will again. It's part of the process of supporting a club, not a player. Just wish he could've seen some real success with us.

Looks pretty horrendous on paper. Off-loading your captain for a pick that probably doesn't get used in two years and paying for the privilege looks pretty yuck to a lot of fans.

At least it adds pressure for them to perform next year. We need a rocket up us.

It's great to know that Ross meant what he said on footy classified all those months ago.

When we say we will keep a contracted player, we mean it. The aim to is make the club as strong as possible and list management isn't going to be run by the players.

Good on essendon for holding firm on a shit offer and frankly good on Adelaide, Brisbanes asking price was ridiculous.

He tend to start well and jars a knee and his form drops. This year he seemed to be pushed out to let Garcia and others get a run at times too. Probably started to sense his future phase out.

It’s insane to me that’s not getting more airtime. That asking price from Brisbane, when they farwelled him a couple weeks back and they’d be paying him 400 at most was insane

Geelong are losing some gloss now. Clubs not letting them push them around and a few of their messy ring-ins have tainted the environment that was a huge attraction due to the exceptional management.

Placing only your second offer on the table to the last few minutes of trade period is not everything .
