I have lost faith in SOS after the Battle saga last year and are starting to lose faith in RTB and his group of coaches. Tauru may end up better than Battle but he is going to take years to get there, in the interim we will continue to struggle down back. Barrat was taken in front of a number of other options and he also has shown he is going to need time to get going.

TDK will be an improvement on Marshall but he is really the best we can do?
Bergman is hardly the elite midfielder we need?
Aleer is a pass for me....I would rather Serong from Hawthorn.
Gruzewksi, Derksen & McMullin would be the players preferred from GWS.

We need mature players all over the ground - elite tall forwards, defenders and midfielders if we are to acheive any sort of quick improvement.

Nick was an elite runner, not just for his size but in the AFL and a great mark.

He was picked #1 because he had elite qualities.

Travaglia lacks polish and looks workmanlike but watch the standards he commands of others over the coming years. Top 5 runner at the club and there'll come a time where he makes a game saving tackle, win a one on one or break the lines with a running effort that will make him a fan favourite. We're all impatient and things needs to fall our way, but as RTB said, 'someone's gotta do the work to get us there'

I said 2 years ago we should trade Marshall while he has value but everyone said nah it would rip the soul out of the place which I understand, and I love Marshall, but now he’s dropped value and we’re going to overpay for some other guy who is semi unproven. Recent premiers rucks are Fort/mcinerny, Cameron, Stanley, Gawn (exception), nank/soldo, Lycett/vardy. Point is we shouldn’t be overpaying for rucks either with draft picks or salary cap. He is currently doing very well in the Premiership team who have an excellent system and settled forward structure ..... though every possibility he would not be going as well in a mid table / bottom 6 team

Also he is contracted until 2027 and not sure we can wait and continue not to use that SC space we currently have ... someone else might be able to clarify this? ie: .... use it or lose it?

Dunstall and co were very impressed, he’s a kid 19 in November but he’s got it. Travaglia is another young one, I have no doubt at all both will be guns for us.
