Still on a high from last night, what an amazing comeback.

However, it’s almost bittersweet until NAS extends. I’m not bothered regarding the years, preferably it’s long term. However I think we are on the way up, we need to lock NAS in for whatever we can for.

I just can’t help but feel if it isn’t this week.. it isn’t happening. His value contract wise has peaked now, he has shown he’s a superstar mid with a clutch gene to match.

I doubt we are going to get beaten money wise, I just hope we aren’t being cute with the contract offers.

If he leaves I think it would be a devastating blow. Understatement of the year, but jeez I hope he stays.

Nas leaves it will be heartbreaking for many and take a long time to get over

Just so it's clear, I'm not saying we strong arm him. I'm just saying if it's $2 million plus, we should be putting it as a long contract rather than defaulting to a 2 year contract.

And as I’ve pointed out.

We lose more if nas bails in 2 years. There isn’t any strong arming here.

If hypothetically, which is all we are discussing. Is that he wants $2m I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the club to be like yeah and we want a bigger commitment.

If nas leaves in 2 years and we haven’t won a flag. It doesn’t matter what our list looks like, we drop back significantly and has lost 2 years.

We're not in a great position to put pressure on him to make a bigger commitment.

The two SA clubs have garbage to offer us this year.

Just work with the player to make him happy and respect the challenges of a young first nations fella living away from family.

Imagine losing him this year because we wouldn't give him a 2 year deal?

Best player in the comp, you would take whatever commitment you can get, trying to force a longer one on him would be foolish. If we are top 4-6 in 2 years time and he’s settled better in Melbourne then you would think he re-commits.
