idk but Tredrea thinks that Nas is a Private Man, who is not an entity, legal person, or even a person, so contracts are all irrelevant anyway

would still probably be easier to work with than ben williams
I am hearing that 6 silver coins and a vaccine exemption is Warren's latest pitch to Nasiah.

InB4 DrSpacey gives us Billy longer ripping bongs in front of his playstation.

I hope we are looking at left field things with NAS, get a house for the family to stay in close by, help with airfares, getting the family involved around the club in any way possible.

ie. bring the family to NAS not the other way around!

Logically speaking if we can't get anything from the Crows or Port (which is the case) and it seems obvious that Nas loves the club and Ross' shoulders, do we honestly think he'd leave the club now in bad faith knowing we can't get anything remotely decent that comes close to making up from the loss he'd leave in the side?

And his teammates posting about him non-stop, moneybags emojis on every story calling him the goat?
I was just gonna post something in regards to the moneys bags. I reckon they just haggling over some finer details. Him windy and hall will all announce at the same time.

Who is to say we don’t draft Smillie, Travaglia and Tauru ?

Anyway, it’s a pure hypothetical without knowing what picks you would actually have.

Point was more that, if we wanted 3 picks. Then they better all be in this years top 10 where we have control over the demand.

That was super draft. All of them are still pretty unproven still.

Have a feeling him staying or going will be the making or breaking of this club.

He signs on, we get TDK, we get Aleer and hopefully I decent injury run with King, Po and even Howard and we start to motor up the ladder pretty quickly. All of a sudden players want to come and play with Nas and King if he can ever live up to his hype along with others.

Salary can be managed if you have the right people in place looking at it.

Yep, just purely as a psychological boost this is about as pivotal as it gets for a footy club. Lose him and slow momentum and gloom look a like they are setting in.

The reality we need to be making clear to Nas is if you choose to leave you run the risk of going into the draft because Port have nothing to offer.

If Port want him they need to find out what's happening with Butters or one of their other guns. You can't get the best player in the comp with junk future first round picks.

If Port or Adelaide can't stump up fair value, we should threaten to sell him on the open market. Let a bidding war commence. It's only playing nice that clubs haven't done it before. He won't want to sit the year out.

Reckon Boxshall will just grow into that position nicely.

The issue with picking off talent from elsewhere instead of just developing your own is that you have to pay a premium to get them. Let someone else have Davies, let my boy Hugh grow and develop into our Dunkley

You can do both. Henry looked like he'd take a spot off a kid and right noe he looks like he's struggling to hold on to an AFL career. Davies would be worth minimum chips.

What's fair value now though? It's increased significantly in the last month.

That’s going to be the outcome in any scenario.

Point is more that if you had 3 in the top 10. You’re backing yourself more often than not to find a few good ones.

Depends on the draft. I reckon this is a pretty thin draft all up. I reckon it's like pick 20 last year at pick 1 and drops away hard at about 20. Looks like an absolute stinker. I reckon you could get three absolute busts without trying too hard. Feels a bit like the 2017 draft without the extraordinary 2nd round.

Probably Bergman and 2 high firsts? Maybe compo for Butters and Bergman with a future first? Not really sure but nothing good is going to compensate us.

Not all about me, but if NWM leaves that will just about be it for me. Already down to a 3 game membership, would be zero next year.
Not a threat, still love the club, but will indicate to me we will never compete or grow our list.
Not only can we not attract players, but the one genuine superstar we draft is developed by us and then, sold to one of the AFL's favoured clubs.
So who would be next to go? Pou? Tauru?
We are just a feeder club to the AFL favoured few if that is the case, and to me that means zero hope, zero to look forward to, zero growth.

I'd sign Tex Wanganeen to our ressies team next year. Cousin of Nas, and he is only 21. Very close to Nas, grew up together. Tex was delisted by the Bombers last season and played at Port Melbourne this year. He wasn't great, but Ross makes diamonds out of rocks.

I don’t care overly for the $$

I care about the years.

Commit to us and write a cheque for whatever your agent wants.

This entire 2 year deal scenario is just kicking doomsday down the road and hoping we somehow avoid it.

I'd take it. At least we then can reset and the longer he stays the more Stockholm syndrome kicks in. There is a point where the familiarity of your surroundings overtakes the pull of home.

I understand that.

But you are not factoring in that we don’t control the quality of picks in any year bar this year (in the scenario that he decides to leave)

We could ask for 3 first rounders in 2026 and end up with 15/16/17

Great, we select three NWM's, in a few years after development, they want to be traded and we get more exciting draft picks to develop for Collingwood and Adelaide and Brisbane.
Can't wait.

Maybe we win a flag with 3.

Don’t care if they leave after that. I only want 1

How much do the VFL team and the AFL team interact? If we had our own VFL team, I mean.
