he's a luxury at Geelong. he wasn't at us because of our depth. Geelong gave him time and we rushed it with him
Imo there was never an issue with Martin’s motivation - just that couldn’t manage his body well enough to enable him to perform consistently

Jed Walter is an interesting player & if a trade were to happen for Charlie I'm not sure if he becomes a star or just solid afl player like the days of Henderson for Fevola.
He's a big strapping manchild that tore apart kids in the under 18s , his kicking is not great & he gives me Ports Jon Butcher vibes from back in the day so be interesting to see where he stamds in the game in 2-3 years time.

Athletically as good as any young KPF in the comp. seems to me he's just going at his average games per year.
Missing the main part his played 11 out of the last 12 since coming in. The one he missed was due to being rested
He's played 11 of the past 12 games. Don't think he played that many games in the same period with us the past few years. Plus he's working in defence as well. He's covering the ground well.

He also missed 3 months with a calf injury. A trend he had pretty much every year in his career

Outside of our fs and academy, I don’t believe we will go to the draft. Do rate Dovaston though

The Cats recruited him with a view to playing at the pointy end of the season.
I'd want him in my finals team.

Agree with the above comments on Martin ,
Geelong managed him through by missing first half of the season + he was sub 2-3;times in his games played.
Difference is we needed him desperately to be on the park week in week out where the Cats have so many good small / medium forwards options Miers, Stengle, Close , Dangerfield, Dempsey & Jack is another talented player with ground & aerial ability.
Such a shame he never got his body right but he had those issues at the sun's before he came to us & think people saying we managed him incorrectly is rubbish.
Let's just hope we can bring more skilled goal kickers in next couple trade / drafts so we can give good oppostions some headaches.
Looking forward to a mini reset with some youth & other blokes coming in.

A reliable poster who got it right last year indicated otherwise today, alot depends on Curnow.
l would rather this strategy than bringing in a whole bunch of fringe players that we have been linked to.
