he's a luxury at Geelong. he wasn't at us because of our depth. Geelong gave him time and we rushed it with himJack Martina is an elite talent and we were all aware of his natural ability, unfortunately we just could not manage nor motivate him to perform.
Imo there was never an issue with Martin’s motivation - just that couldn’t manage his body well enough to enable him to perform consistentlyJack Martina is an elite talent and we were all aware of his natural ability, unfortunately we just could not manage nor motivate him to perform.

He's played 11 games for them, let's see how it pans out.he's a luxury at Geelong. he wasn't at us because of our depth. Geelong gave him time and we rushed it with him

Athletically as good as any young KPF in the comp. Kicking is not the best but he will be a handful for anyone to stop in a few years timeJed Walter is an interesting player & if a trade were to happen for Charlie I'm not sure if he becomes a star or just solid afl player like the days of Henderson for Fevola.
He's a big strapping manchild that tore apart kids in the under 18s , his kicking is not great & he gives me Ports Jon Butcher vibes from back in the day so be interesting to see where he stamds in the game in 2-3 years time.![]()
Funny how the cats seem to be able to manage him.Imo there was never an issue with Martin’s motivation - just that couldn’t manage his body well enough to enable him to perform consistently
Common theme. Lack of leadership across the club.2023 prelim.
I think the phrase goes something like ‘we got a bit ahead of ourselves’ at quarter time.
Missing the main part his played 11 out of the last 12 since coming in. The one he missed was due to being restedView attachment 2418496seems to me he's just going at his average games per year.
He's played 11 of the past 12 games. Don't think he played that many games in the same period with us the past few years. Plus he's working in defence as well. He's covering the ground well.View attachment 2418496seems to me he's just going at his average games per year.
2023?He's played 11 of the past 12 games. Don't think he played that many games on the same period with us the past few years
How does a footballer not have weights in his program?A bit on both likely. We prob needed to be more patient in readying / conditioning him towards playing AFL for the L/T vs S/T gain.
We had Jack Russell, renowned as one of the best but no good fortune.
Guru Andrew Russell..??How does a footballer not have weights in his program?
Did pretty much the same for us in 2020, 2021 and 2023.He's played 11 of the past 12 games. Don't think he played that many games in the same period with us the past few years. Plus he's working in defence as well. He's covering the ground well.
He also missed 3 months with a calf injury. A trend he had pretty much every year in his careerHe's played 11 of the past 12 games. Don't think he played that many games in the same period with us the past few years. Plus he's working in defence as well. He's covering the ground well.
Outside of our fs and academy, I don’t believe we will go to the draft. Do rate Dovaston thoughI’m still a big fan of lachy Dovaston. Won it for the ranges today. 3.2 and 12 touches.
The Cats recruited him with a view to playing at the pointy end of the season. He also missed 3 months with a calf injury. A trend he had pretty much every year in his career
Where's that confirmed? From what I've seen it's just a partial tear.So Hipwood done his ACL, out for next season.
Will the Lions throw their hat in the ring for Charlie?
Let the bidding begin!
They were talking about it on Triple M pre gameWhere's that confirmed? From what I've seen it's just a partial tear.
Could be a premiership player in a few weeksThe Cats recruited him with a view to playing at the pointy end of the season.
I'd want him in my finals team.
A reliable poster who got it right last year indicated otherwise today, alot depends on Curnow.Outside of our fs and academy, I don’t believe we will go to the draft. Do rate Dovaston though
Partial tear not full tearThey were talking about it on Triple M pre game
