I’m

Yes, because we can afford to lose him from our defence. Maybe we should all buy and wear - Let’s make others great - hats.

I understand you don’t want to lose Silvagni Surrey but you have to accept that he has chosen to whore himself around to the likes of Collingwood and Essendon despite Carlton reportedly having a very fair offer tabled.
If he ends up netting us a first rounder it’ll be a great piece of business for the club …

Yeh I think it would have to be closer to 800K per year for an end of first compensation pick. We are probably more likely to get band 3 compo (2nd round pick) if he leaves

The dogs defence was exposed today and they wouldn’t have to trade for silvagni.
They might be tempted to find the cash needed and they’ll likely have JUH money to spend next season …

Sos isn’t whoring himself around.
The club has let him and other key players down with their standards.
They want success and more importantly the right attitude, mentality and culture with the group.
I’m hoping we have finally made the right calls and are proving to SoS, who bleeds navy, that we will fix.

Jack as an out of contract free agent is doing his diligence and speaking to other clubs but he has chosen to “whore himself” 😂😂😂

Idiotic.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Voss hasn’t set the standards required and we are now in damage control.
You don’t lose players like SoS for no reason. Quality people want success and will go elsewhere if they believe their club is failing to provide the right environment. Voss and others need to start getting serious and hopefully we won’t lose players that are being heavily chased by others.

We have the group to go far, we just haven’t set the environment. Hopefully Wright will do that. Fingers crossed.

Is that end of 2nd round or just after where our second round pick would be, like the TDK compo

Band 3 (what I think is likely if JSOS left) is the pick after where our 2nd (with Hawks) lands. Band 4 compensation would be end of second round.

Always thought Sam Walsh would be one of the next Carlton Captain.

lf Ben McKay & Josh Battle are some sort of benchmark, a 4year $700k deal should be end of 1st round.
Cumming got the Giants and end of 1st round compensation pick (Band 2) last year but that was a 6-year deal. McKay/Battle were on more money per year and had 6-year deals vs the 4-year deal for JSOS.

Reasons for trialling Charlie as KPD2 over the pre season.
1. Less stress on the knees and ankles playing behind the footy.
2. Helps his development with a focus on accountability
3. One of our better field kicks, to open up the corridor
4. He seems jaded in his current role
5. He's better in the air than any of his likely opponents under 197 cm
6. Our forward line has functioned well without him drawing a majority of entries his way
