Would prefer to be better at drafting, trading & development than falling lower on the ladder.

Raynor. Z.Bailey. Starcevich. Payne drafted in ‘17 by the BL’s + Hodge & C.Cameron traded-in.
Nailed it. Who's their list manager should've tried to bring him across instead of Austin.

When Cerra is on he’s an absolute beast especially with his ball use. We just forget because we haven’t seen good performances from almost every single player for 18 months for various reasons.

If we wanted to experiment, I’d have Cripps spend 70% third forward / 30% midfield. Has the height, saves his body from constant brutal hits, lets Jagga and Lord get more midfield minutes to change the mix, and stops (reduces) Cripps from continuously trying to play hero ball.

I'd be working hard on Cripps' forward game. I feel development wise, we really have not pushed his aerial game enough.

With Cerra, if we could land a really good quick player to play in the middle. Say Butters. We could Butters and Smith coming is which would be great add Walsh to this. It's a damn good midfield. Cripps, Hewett and Lord fit in around them.

Geelong had their make or break moment landing Dangerfield. If we have actually enticed Butters then this is our moment.
If this happens, I would be looking to get Cerra on a wing. Solid running program, lose a little weight. Early in his career he was playing wing and he was trending as a future elite wingman. If this doesn't work for us, Walsh was the same, trending as an elite winger. The only reason I would chose Cerra as a wing is because his kicking is better than Walsh and I think Wingers need to be able to kick.

Best 22 next season:

C: Smith Cripps Cerra
OB: O'Keefe Walsh Butters
IC: Lord Hewett Acres Haynes

That is a damn good midfield. Rotate E Hollands, Williams etc through there. Take Acres away from perminent wing to being a utility you play forward, back and mid. Haynes spends time on the wing, he was awesome there in the last few weeks. Lord and Hewett go through the middle. Cerra could move inside if needed. Walsh could go wing if needed.

For backup we have plenty. O Hollands, Cottrell, Camporeale, Camporeal.

I do like our list. But I think we need to land the right fish in the next two drafts.

Very surprised to see port delist Ryan Burton.
DFA spot is tempting but would have to pass a medical though. That's why I'm assuming he got delisted??

Hey Addy, can you give us a run down on Garry's brother, Lachie Charleson. What was his time like at Port? Strengths to his game?
If I were to summarise his career to date, would say its been disappointing. But this year alone, he has shown that he is able to kick goals with minimal touches. High goal sense and quite clever with his positioning and footy IQ. But that aside, fitness is a concern, this year he was largely fine but last year he had multiple injuries.

I think he has some AFL traits tbh, I'd have kept him ahead of his fellow draftee Tom Anastasopolous. If you could get his body right and get his tank to AFL player, you might have a decent back up for a small forward.

Well, we all knew it was happening before now, not going to kick him on the way out, he got the ultimate offer that was too good to refuse'
