Question for draft experts - If it is band 2 for SOS, would that pick plus our current 2nd round pick be enough to cover a Top 10 Harry Dean bid without having to use the TDK compo pick?
Fritsch was mentioned a bit earlier this year; not opposed to it if Charlie does go (and is replaced with an elite midfielder). Fritsch, Kemp, Moir and Harry is enough to not get destroyed aerially.Yep, always interested in who'll potentially be pulling on the navy blue...you only tend to get excited if it a big name.
Unfortunately for us this year, the outgoings have totally taken over the narrative.
So the latest according to the media is:
Campbell Chesser
Buku Khamis
Ned Reeves
Liam Reidy
Malcolm Rosas
Sam Flanders
Jack Petruccelli (DFA)
Am I missing anyone?

They have massively over paid him and given a bloke who has played les than 130 games in the last decade a 5 year contract - not sure they are too focused on our compoApparently the saints have structured the deal so we just miss out on band 1 compo
Didn't realise trade week has started...... maybe wait afew more weeks until you're negative take !!! LOLDon't worry guys, we're getting Reidy, Buku and Chesser.
The goal is to win our first VFL title first and then after that go for the AFL title. It's called a Carlton style reset with small incremental goals.

Depends if King playsTBH I don't know how much improvement the Saints will actually see out of all their big moves
Apparently the saints have structured the deal so we just miss out on band 1 compo
And in 12 months Zac Williams off the books tooif the Edmond rumours are true do we get picks 9 and 10 for TDK and Silvagni? If so, that's a really good result. The money off of our books for McGovern is huge, too.

Should have been 10 years for 20 mill!Frankie Evans with the 1 year extension according to AFL.com.
He’s not going to St Kilda?Frankie Evans with the 1 year extension according to AFL.com.
And are they any good? He's worth it but would mad to go there unless he wants to be rebuilding for the next 3-4 years.
Merret apart Don's best players are 18-21.
I'm reading the tea leaves but AFL will use Jack's age to rationalise out of two band 1It’s a year later, the salary cap has and is going up, so they’re not equal.
But given TDK’s contract, we should by rights get 2 x Band 1.
Already putting out the propaganda on their website but it is ridiculous - if someone is will to offer him 5 years at $850k when he is still 27 why shouldn't it qualify as band 1 - ahh because it is Carlton.I'm reading the tea leaves but AFL will use Jack's age to rationalise out of two band 1
And in 12 months Zac Williams off the books too
Smug mother ****er.This was when Bont was unsigned when McRae said it but he also mentioned it last year
This is bulldust. For those expecting or wanting a Band 1 compensation pick for JSOS, I wouldn't be holding my breath.
"While the length and value of the deal given to the third-generation Blue will be in the territory of band one compensation, Silvagni's age – he turns 28 later this year – will be part of the AFL's free agency formula.
No player in free agency history since it started in 2012 has garnered a first-round pick for the club they departed as a 10-year player. The player's age comes into the formula for compensation selections."
Also mentions in the article that the TANK has been offered a 1 year contract. Glad we get to keep our best small forward!
