Coming in peace,

Just given that the club has said Walter and Read aren't going to be in discussion (im aware this can change but hypothetically lets pretend the club is telling the truth), were you to move Curnow, as supporters would Flanders + 6 be of interest?

or Petracca and 12?

Flanders + Davies + 12?

Rogers + 6?

Davies + 6 + F1?

this isn't a hypothetical 'what would the club accept', but more of a 'as supporters, what would you be okay with getting in return' type question
I suspect if Walter isn't part of the package, Charlie will be a Carlton player next year. He's probably the player that makes the most sense for us. Maybe Humphries but Dimma is in love with him.

The club isn't lying, there is no strong desire to move Charlie on.

With all due respect, if your club came forward with these offers, Wright and Austin would be saying "thank you, but come back to us when you're serious."

You've got an opportunity to get a player that could deliver your club the holy grail, so it's not really a matter of 'what we'd be okay with getting in return' - it's more 'what type of offer you could come up with that we couldn't refuse'.

Charlie would be the second best player you've ever had at your club, no way any of those deals gets it done with 4 years left on his contract.

Would we entertain Melbourne with a Charlie trade they have desperately wanted a key forward for years ?

Pertracca is keen to look else where

Curnow and mcgovern

For
Trac, rivers, Judd McVee.

Later trade for May for a later third round.

McVee , weitering , Sadd
Rivers , may , Newman . - Cowan - Haynes

May gives us time for Dean and HOF to develop.

Trac offers that powerful mid that can play deep and kick goals still.

Here is a trade scenario
Blues: Petracca,#6, future 1st suns
Dees: Flanders, #16
Suns : Curnow, #22,#25 (both efc),#31(dees),#10(car)
Efc: #13

From my understanding he has never had any off field concerns, was simply immature and ADHD type behaviour at Collingwood rubbed a few Collingwood players the wrong way… and at North was paid highly in such a poor side didn’t handle the pressure and eventually sucked all enjoyment of the game out of him.. if he comes to us he won’t be coming with any expectation, he will know it’s his last chance and he either puts in the work or he is back playing Div 3 EFL. In his time at Fertree Gully he took a leadership role so perhaps has matured and sees the game differently. IMO I would rather chuck Jaidyn a lifeline that pluck someone untried out of the VFL.

38 goals in Division 3 of EFL doesn't scream out give him a lifeline.

Im. Not sure about you, but when i think of off field issues, i dont think these are it.

A 2nd year player, who by all reports isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, putting a couple of bets on his sport, whilst is dumb, he got a decent whack. The AFL shoves so much gambling down the throats of kids, but then cries when one does this.

I am also aware that we can’t have players betting on matches and i have been told many share information to other punters.

A BMX accident, is this much different to Charlie hurting his knee playing basketball, or slipping down the stairs (if true), Doc messing around in the trampoline, Cunners wrestling, then add any story you can remember from other clubs players hurting themselves when they are stuffing around.

These are dumb things, done by a kid who by what i was told, was just a bit dumb.

Off field issues, drug use, domestic violence, alcoholism, punching on, abusing journalists, drink driving, gambling addiction, are all on a different level to the ones above.

The added bonus to this avenue with Stephenson is, he’s a free agent, he can train with the club the entire pre season, doesnt have to go through any draft and can be added via the SSP if he ticks whatever boxes we ask of him. Unlike the many qst round draftees we brought to the club in the past, where we were hoping a change of scenery would bring out the form they had in juniors, Stephenson has shown he already has the tools to be a top class player at AFL level, albeit for 1 season.

Obvious. Kid loves the club, but there is a numbers game. Clearly a required player, if the numbers don’t add up, would expect him to revert to VFL and bide his time for an opening.

Hopefully won’t become necessary.

Thats disappointing.

I actually dont mind May as a defender, but he does play angry, and i think there's only room enough for One Angry KPD.

Weiters may not be the same type of personality, but he is volatile and prone to dummy spits, and I think even though it might work out for a season or two, the risk of a powder keg between Weiters & May would be too great.
