Averaged approximately 18 disposals, 6 tackles and 42 hit outs in his last 10 WAFL games. Clearly dominant at that level. Doesn't mark much or kick many goals. More of a tap and follow-up ruckman.

Can't say I was particularly impressed when I have seen him at AFL level and Freo supporters don't seem sad about him going.

At worst he's an ok backup for Pitto and gives our VFL mids first use. At best he brings that WAFL form to AFL and is a bargain pickup.

Hard to tell, Reidy dominates WAFL on a weekly basis but from what I can tell is fairly similar to Pitto in terms of overall uselessness outside of tap work at the next level up.

Decent depth worst case I suppose.

From 2022 when playing VFL, looks to be able to take a good contested mark, not overly agile or quick but looks useful.

Is he going to be handier in the ruck than pitto with the new throw up rule and last touch? Ruckman are going to need to be a bit more mobile now
The annoying thing is over past 2 seasons we have watched TDKs run at the ruck contest neutralised by big lumpy rucks who take out his jump by stepping in front of him.. and now they decide to change the rules to benefit him.

what do we do with Blake Acres? If we can’t offload him can we reinvent him as a defensive forward pocket. I am not a fan of his. Burnt us severely with his disposal but as a forward I believe we can mitigate his weaknesses. He is an above average mark, provides physicality and defensive pressure and is not bad lining up for goals. Thoughts? Definitely offers more than Fogarty.

Acres only asset is his engine and ability to get forward and hit the scoreboard, is a pure winger but unfortunately for Blake being able to hit a target by foot has become an essential part of the role.. IMO he fights for a spot with Cotters on the wing and who ever misses out plays VFL.

Trade bait / want away isn’t he (yet to hear/see anymore on this)?

Depending on his shoulders, pseudo CHF / HFF could work. He’s a pretty decent mark and can make space.

Swapping wing & HFF with someone like Kemp could also work and Moir from the pocket.

Hard to believe his kicking could get worse but it did last season. Put that down to the back surgery but he cannot continue to be played if those type of performances return in ‘26.

Charlie deal pretty easy, Swans first round this and next and a B grade player. Charlie's knees and attitude are worth moving on. Our list is very weak right now and we need to load up on kids before Tassie or otherwise we will end up down the bottom for a decade.

Right now I would argue we have the worst young talent in the AFL of sides who didn't make the 8.
Charlie's an absolute star. We want 2 good players with pace and good skills. club wants players, not picks, which makes a trde harder. Clubs are happy to pay a load of picks but, hey, when it comes to coughing up one of their own good players they baulk very quickly. Swans said today they Haywood and Rowbottom won't be traded. Hence, a fair chance Charlie plays for us next year.

This list played a PF in 2023 and sat 2nd at round 20 2024 until decimated by injury. It's not weak. Nothing what two of those types of players I suggested won't help sort. Nice to add with Jagga Smith too. Plenty thought Richmon's list was crap in the bad year of 2016.

I think he ensures Huddo plays forward/2nd ruck all year.
Reidy and Pitto will be support for one another if one is injured.
Not sure who will become the main ruck out of those two but HOK will pretty much be guaranteed a forward spot.

So on the rumoured ins our 2026 line up looking something like this?

Harry Dean - Jacob Weitering - Lachie Cowan
Nic Newman - Nick Haynes - Ollie Florent

Sam Walsh - Patrick Cripps - Campbell Chesser
Marc Pittonet - Jagga Smith - George Hewett

Ben Ainsworth - Hudson O'Keefe - Zac Williams
Ashton Moir - Harry Mckay - Will Hayward

Adam Cerra - Matthew Carroll - Sullivan Robey - Matthew Cottrell - Francis Evans

Not bad but certainly can't see us competing for a flag with that team as it is. Certainly a lot more balanced in terms of outside run and class.
In a few years time however, a lot of those pieces would compliment some of the young talent we've got coming through like Jagga, HOF, Ison, Cody etc.

Fair assumption, but not cast in stone. Reidy looks capable forward and may be deceptively athletic from snippets. To be fair to HOK and his development, he needs more than back up ruck time. Plenty to play out with roles and percentages. Still follows that a run or two on the ball helps Harry get in to games on occasion as well. Plenty to play out.

My main reason for assuming HOK stays in the side all year is not just as a forward, but as a more Agile/Mobile ruckman.
Against players like Darcy Cameron, Pitto and I assume Reidy are going to get exposed around the ground.

Agree, doesn’t look like Reidy & Pitto could play in the same team so will battle each other for #1 but will be supported by HOK who can play the versatile swing role.
