Leek has far more upside than Buku and will cost similar in salary and trade.

Don’t know if Buku will get done, or what he’ll cost, but he’s definitely better than Leek Aleer.

Trade value and salary aside, we wanted to keep Buku and re-sign him, and have no interest whatsoever in Aleer.

I like the additions the past week but am worried about the outs but I wanted to move away from the Charlie chat and ask, how do we build quality small forward stocks, if we keep ignoring the issue?

I like the addition of Ainsworth but we need lots more, our academy players Dean and Isin don’t address the issue and Gresham and Clarke are very speculative.

If we trade up the order again, we remove ourselves from the range that these forwards fall in, there is no Rachele or Watson this year.

So where are we bringing these players in?

Ainsworth Evans Williams Motlop - lot of IFs but if they work out, that 4 is serviceable

Ainsworth - we know his best is pretty good, just need to make sure he stays motivated and we have the right strategy in place

Evans - he had a purple period towards the end of the 2025 season. keep that up and he's AFL quality

Williams - he is excellent, just gotta keep fit

Motlop - pretty poor at times but still young. hopefully pulls the finger out.--

Dunno if theres a real clear plan of how to match the Dean, Ison, Walker bids plus bring in some more quality young talent. Doesn't seem like it

Walker likely to cost 1900-2700 points next year

Need both sides to not make 8!

Richmond and eagles have said they are open to splitting one of there picks each

We’ve lost 7 players: Curnow, TDK, Silvagni, Durdin, Fantasia, Lemmey, and Cincotta [rookie]

We’ve gained 5 players: Reidy, Chesser, Ainsworth, Florent, Hayward

We have 3 SSP/MSD players on the list (F. Young, White and Evans all on the rookie list) - you’d imagine Evans takes Cincotta’s spot

Leaving McGovern, White and F. Young out of contract with a minimum 2 picks coming in this draft (Dean, Ison)

I think I’d rather have White and F. Young on the list over Binns, Boyd or Fogarty… but can we afford to do that?
