Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
We should be able to apply for special dispensation for him to return to VFL action later in the season for a run.I just don't see the benefit. ACL. 19 years old. Give him the full 12 months + to make sure he is in perfect condition for 2027.
Use the 12 months to build up Riley Thilthorpe styleI just don't see the benefit. ACL. 19 years old. Give him the full 12 months + to make sure he is in perfect condition for 2027.
Sounds like Newman all over againNot if they are hoping he plays late next year. Already running etc

Gov should have already been in training mode. He doesn’t get it if he hasn’t been knocking the training sessions over on O/T.Gov signing was a bit of a hold up.
Needs to do plenty of work to get fit now.
Toby Greene could be calling him skinny Papley by mistake.
Delistings will be announced soon.
that woud be dissapointing if Gov hasnt kept a the appropriate level of fitness goingGov should have already been in training mode. He doesn’t get it if he hasn’t been knocking the training sessions over on O/T.

Agree.wasn't newman february?
As for HOF I just don't think they will make the call yet
Either way, I'm looking forward to him putting on some sizeAgree.
The only advantage into declaring HOF out early is that we'd be able to pay a train-on player.
The disadvantage is that HOF might be good to go earlier than expected, and we'd miss getting some games into him (even if at VFL level).
imo, we make a call in Feb before the SSP closes.

. Looked in great shape and was training really hard. Not this mindset again... put him on the season list, someone else will go down at some point, and if he makes a late run we can then get dispensation to bring him off the season list. Not if they are hoping he plays late next year. Already running etc
I do like a good spew to know that someone’s putting in the hard yards - on & off the field…Saw Gov at the club a couple of weeks ago. At the gym and doing repeat sprints around Princes Park.
Stopped a few metres from me to spew up at one stage. Looked in great shape and was training really hard.
It's not that easy. Not this mindset again... put him on the season list, someone else will go down at some point, and if he makes a late run we can then get dispensation to bring him off the season list.
Sure it wasn't his retired brother.Saw Gov at the club a couple of weeks ago. At the gym and doing repeat sprints around Princes Park.

I saw him doing similar last week.Saw Gov at the club a couple of weeks ago. At the gym and doing repeat sprints around Princes Park.

As opposed to what? He was already on a club friendly contract.Brackets has resigned for next season, hopefully on a different contract amount.
Agree, give him an extra 6 months to beef up. Little running, just strength work.I just don't see the benefit. ACL. 19 years old. Give him the full 12 months + to make sure he is in perfect condition for 2027.
We need 4 primary list spots free, 2 contracted players must go.With Gov & EH we’re at 34 of 36 senior.
3 at the draft means 1 to go (EH rumoured).
The only thing is the list spots on the draft picks taken into the draft with points wanted for matching bids with later picks.
If contracted players are released, then it would likely be to be re-rookied with rookies to be upgraded potentially unless it’s the payout & cya later route.
As I have said before, we will need 4 primary list spots to take 4 picks to the draft for matching, trading etc.Not necessarily.
Will White, and maybe Flynn Young (who nobody knows the contract status of) along with Lij.
I doubt we take a DFA, that would mean 3 more contracted players delisted from the primary list.I think White is in trouble. I hope that Charleson has re signed as he looked good to me
IMO we need three draft spots and at least one more for a DFA or SSP.
As I have said before, we will need 4 primary list spots to take 4 picks to the draft for matching, trading etc.
Therefore 2 must go off the primary list.
Cavanagh even saying in the article we want to make 4 selections in the ND.
