Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
We didn't let Binns go to keep Gov.This is the cost of re-signing Gov. He certainly would be gone at the end of next season, and he would realise that. A blow for the kid, but gives him a chance to fight for his career somewhere.
Hope it was relatively amicable, and very much hope there is no lingering animosity among the playing group resulting from it.
Probably Boydie tooAs I posted over a month ago. 1-2 contracted players will likely be cut as Wright fixes list issues
Looks to be Elijah & Binns so far
Hope we have got rid of bins to keep lijWe're at 42/44 so 2 in total.

Willing to give Motlop 2 more years as he still quite youngContract negotiations are exactly that, negotiations.
Motlop might have left if he was only offered a one year contract. To off set that we may have offered two years on less money. I’d rather have Motlop on the list than not
We're at 42/44 so 2 in total.
I'm not confused, you areYou’re a little bit confused.
We currently have 1 list spot, ie 41 (34/7) players not including the 2 Irish Cat B.
If we want to take 4 picks to the draft, we can do so by cutting 1 Senior player (Lij by all reports) and 2 rookies ie the uncontracted White, and the presumably uncontracted Flynn Young.
We would hit the draft with a list of 33/5 and the ability to draft 4 Senior players, although it is much more likely that we would only take 3.
I don't like the club having to pay out contracts.
But at least we are being more pro-active with cutting players than in previous years.
Acres’ contract also runs to 2027 so once he wasn’t traded we had little choice but to keep him for 2026.Acres had a disappointing year but his major point of differential from our other wingers is his work as an aerial threat. He has massively influenced games at Carlton with that alone in both arcs.
Yep was more talking play style but your point would be the major consideration for Binns being delisted over an AcresAcres’ contract also runs to 2027 so once he wasn’t traded we had little choice but to keep him for 2026.
Four from th draft? Or 3 and a DFA?I think Elijah & White are the ones in trouble. Four going into draft
I'm not confused, you are
I don't think you understand how this works
4 players in the ND required 2 contracted players on the primary list to go.
Bins is 1
1 more to go.
So would I. Keep him before Fogarty. But I feel they’ll keep Fog.Thats harsh on Will White. He has done everything asked of him in a very difficult position and has shown more than players that have been here for years. I know sometimes the numbers fall badly for you when outta contract but I'd keep him ahead of Fogarty
Four from th draft? Or 3 and a DFA?
Aren’t fog and Flynn more like for like, so unfortunately if anything Flynn might the one cut (which I hope he isn’t)?So would I. Keep him before Fogarty. But I feel they’ll keep Fog.
We'll probably want four picks for the draft for the points, not necessarily to use them all.Four from th draft? Or 3 and a DFA?
I think Elijah & White are the ones in trouble. Four going into draft
We didn’t have to cut Binns, but I don’t think Binns is up to it and offers less than anyone remaining, aside from possibly the Irish boys. No, you clearly are.
Just because we have cut Binns doesn’t mean we had to.
We could now cut White and Flynn Young, both Rookies, and be able to take 4 ND picks.
It seems we will also cut Lij, but we don’t have to to get the extra pick.
I’m hoping this also means Lij survives, surely they’d have just cut him at the same time? Unless there’s other factors at playStill thinking we give Lij just one more chance to prove himself. Players of his skills are hard to find.
I bet just as I’m writing this he will be cut.
