Glad for him. Hasn't even had 1 preseason and I think provides a greater point of difference then White. Worst case scenario he is great for our reserves team.

Happy with this. Liked what I saw in the back end if the year. Nice user by foot and is pretty close role wise to Elijah. Obviously not at that level yet but fine depth.

Was def impressive in the last 2 games, def worth another season.

If Lij gets cut, I think the club will try to do it on the dl based on how they've dealt with everything else. Though it's unlikely they'll be able to keep it out of the headlines regardless.

Binns/White/Elijah would leave us with 4 so should be enough for draft/DFA. Doubt they pay out 3 contracts in one off-season

Yes. But I don't think we're drafting four. We will draft three and then either pick up Gresham as a rookie (doubtful) or a delisted player.

I doubt we cut deeper than cutting Binns, Elijah and White on top of the 1 list spot we had. Fog and Boyd probably survive.

Binns, Lij and White adds three more list spots (to four). I'd also pay out Fogarty, but they probably won't do it.

I want them to keep Flynn Young.

3 draft picks (Dean, Lindsay, Ison), and maybe Phillips as a Free Agent.

Personally I think White showed more than Young.

Boyd wasn’t in good physical shape this year, for whatever reason

Wiz made a comment about a month ago passing on the view of another recruiter who found it odd that we offered long contracts to fringe players

I guess that is changing now

Lewis Young is another one, would he still be around if he wasn’t contracted?

Fog probably in a similar boat, Durdin was lucky to survive as long as he did too.

The 2 year or more deals to fringe players was always bizarre to me.

Not that impressed with Austin over Mcgovern. Dismal/embarrassing.

Austin and Voss made a point to not play him and trigger a new contract then told him to look elsewhere. The turnaround is poor from both a planning point of view and strength point of view. Carry on being conditional mr mcgovern.

So you wanted his contract to role over on the old contract terms and remuneration structure?

We now have allowed him to shop around with no takers which in turn sets his new market price allowing us to resign him on base wages.

Also with that the realisation he won't get another list spot anywhere else so if he wants another pay check next year he needs to have a big season, esp with youngsters coming through. Good competitive tension now

Personally, I think we have moved beyond Fog and Boyd now. I doubt we will pay out the contracts of any more players however. Binns probably has interest elsewhere.

We will take 4 in the draft and 1 SSP to make it 36-6-2. Young and White will compete for one spot. I'd consider another cut somewhere to get Gresham in as a rookie.

No chance fog gets delisted he is a very solid player had a poor year this year, but so did 80% of the playing list.
If we actually get some forward structure he is 100% capable of holding down a spot/be a very good depth player can't keep cutting the list to deep hes been in our best 23 for the last 3 years

It’s a really poor reflection on whoever was responsible for giving multi year contracts to players like Binns, Boyd, Fog

Binns has always put in the effort, really solid VFL player

Nah. Where the hell would you play him? Not a need, would be a great get for our reserves, but would have too many in front of him for any senior consideration.

I do think he has had a raw deal at Norf. Going back a couple of years, showed enough in his cameos to suggest he had an AFL career.

A few players have failed to come on at the Kangas despite showing more than enough potential on the big stage.

He just doesn’t suit the modern game by size impact skill set or flexibility, hence Fogarty…
Will be a great player at the next level…
