Hes probably our last threatening forward from a goal scoring point of view - although he was top 5 in the league for goal assists per game late in the season in 2024.

Another lens to look at it through is what they’ve done to this point. Fog has played a key role in the best version of this team, and was essential in getting us to a prelim final in 23. We also won like 14 games in a row when he was in the side over that period. Currently, White has played okay cameo roles in losing sides.

I will never slander white for his effort or energy, but I do question things like cleanliness, his ability to tackle, his kicking, etc

White's a first year player still finding his feet. How long has Fog been on an AFL List? 7 years?
He's extremely limited and not AFL standard. Depth at best.

That's incredibly depressing to read, and shows Wright still has a lot of work to do to change the thinking and the culture of the football department.

Fraser, Kreuzer, and Clarke will be tearing their hair out 6 weeks into the season if that's the status quo. Play to our ****ing strengths for once, Pittonet is not a strength. Young is not a strength.

Everyone else is putting 23 players in their squads, we're picking 22.25

I was hopeful we would sign Flynn Riley as a rookie ruckman and Phillips as a KPD. Given spots we have left likely won’t happen unless we cut a Fogarty etc or get an LTI during pre season

Flynn Riley is not worth a list spot, he would have to massively improve over the pre-season to validate that.

That's how I see it. Huddo will play mostly FWD with chop-out for Pitto/Reidy.
I haven't seen Reidy play but his highlights show he has more to offer than Pitto, who I think will be largely depth again, unless Reidy starts getting spanked by the bigger lads like Briggs, Witts and Meek.

I remember the comment, I assumed it was Wright angling for a ready-made solution so he could make a play for a number of uncontracted rucks leading into the end of the year.

None of them took the bait. O'Keeffe is someone that clearly thrives from Kreuzer's tutelage, same as TDK did before him once Kreuzer was given more licence.

I don't mind him losing a few grapples considering how much we gain once the ball hits the deck.

Ah Chee is from WA and is moving to SA for a bigger paycheck at another contender.

We were apparently one of the teams interested in him before he nominated Adelaide so I see no reason we wouldn't at least look at taking him for free in the PSD.

Been a number of players over the years who have ended up at clubs they didn't want to be and ended up having good careers there. If we could turn his head he'd be a fantastic addition to our team for 3-4 years.

Cool, was he interested in us? I'd hazard a guess the answer is no. So again, why would we try and draft a guy that has zero interest in us?

Then the only chance White has, is if he buys Hollands a few kegs for Christmas and he relapses.

Hollands is a highly skilled, AFL quality player.

He's moving because they've offered him a substantial contract and they're currently a contending side.

I like the look of Reidy. 204cm is that bit taller than pitto and he has more athleticism. Very keen to see him get a crack as first ruck.

We do need him to be good enough to push pitto out. He just doesn't have the weapons - speed, marking, height, etc. Not to say he's not effective in his own way.

Reidy is a wait and see proposition. He's a big unit, apparently plays best on the edge, and has dominated at WAFL level. How that translates to AFL level, who knows?

Apparently we were interested in Ned Reeves leading up to the trade period. He's now signed on for another year at Hawthorn taking him to free agency. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we made a serious play for him as a free agent the end of the 2026.

Reeves is huge 207cm. I have a feeling we decided between him and Reidy and chose Reidy on football ability. Reeves was the VFL team of the year ruck though so he must be decent. I've seen him play AFL and was unimpressed. Doesn't get a lot of the ball nor hold his marks.

Personally i think Young and White are great rookie worthy list options, they possess some good traits,
What we’re still got, is a handful of players who are simply limited which some who’ve have been cut, while others have been delisted, a couple still have contracts, along with a few others who could/should be delisted by the end of next season…

Just my 2 bobs worth on O”Keefe to what type of player he might become, i see him leaning heavily more towards a good strong contested quick mobile type ruckman, who is a contested beast…
Not a natural up forward as a KPF type but has shown at times some glimpses of forward smarts/traits to work with, a few seasons in the system looking forward to what he’ll be capable of producing…

Fog is slow, a poor kick, and not an accumulator. He couldn't make it as an inside on-baller, and he's certainly not what we need in the forward line. He's done well to get to 60+ games, but we can and must do better.

With our additions, it is hard to see him getting regular games. Can become a very important cog in our reserves. Will be able to play an inside role to aid the development of our young mids. Has been a good servant, I am happy to see him in the squad for another year.

Many see him as a reason for the demise of Will White. As a dyed in the wool Blue, I expect White to play for our reserves and work towards getting picked up again in the future. (With Ainsworth and Hayward added, small forward options will dry up for many)

It's a good argument for keeping him at Princes Park. I don't think it's an argument for keeping him on the senior list though.
