Is a deal with the swans for Chad Warner still out of the reality of happening.
I think Freo might have cooled their heals on him hoping for Pickett and then missed out on both.
The Swans really need Curnow in their front half and will be going after him pretty hard.
Does that mean they will need to lose a player to get some capital for him?
Luke, I am your fatherThese are mutually exclusive. If he’s Ben Allan’s son then he’s not Ed Allan’s brother. If he’s Ed Allan’s brother then he’s not Ben Allan’s son.
Coaches should be former legends or former coaches I reckon, keep clubland out of it, it’s not like they’re playing to a game plan or anything. Would be pretty cool to see buddy revving up the WA boys or somethingI'd be disappointed if Warner is traded to Freo and Dean Cox is still named coach of WA when none of his players are in the side and JL has to watch six to eight of his side run around coached by someone who oversaw his side go from GF to missing finals.
Logue mad his bed and he can lay in itSimpkin moving complicates the Logue and Fremantle trade reunion.
Wallsy thinks Logue can become a distributor from half back for our slow play. It's risky since Logue is objectively terrible at everything, but I'll trust Wallsy's judgement here.
honestly im off Warner after the average year he had, he will cost too much $ and pick wise. We need a big bodied midfield 190cm+Is a deal with the swans for Chad Warner still out of the reality of happening.

Why would Sydney get Curnow if we were giving them Amiss and a first lol, they'd simply take that optionSydney have to trade for Curnow right?
Does our first pick and one of our key forwards (sorry Jye) get us Worner in a 3 way with Sydney and Carlton?
Sydney get the pick and Curnow, Carlton get Jye and we get the Chad. Maybe Blues need a 2nd rounder from Sydney or something
We already have a WornerSydney have to trade for Curnow right?

Totally agree. The AFL is has shot itself in the foot by reducing list spots. Clubs cant invest in project players, draftees need to be close to AFL ready when drafted, quality players in the State leagues cant break in because they are seen as too old when they are ‘AFL ready’ and with injuries young players have to get played before they are ready. Essendons injury list and mid season draft needs is a classic example.Personally think they should expand the main list by 5.
Those 5 can be paid first year wages if necessary.
Rookies list should be 5 extra, with an emphasis on academy players.
Would be a way for us to develop players within the system
Assuming nobody worth trading our 1st for comes to us: my preference would be to upgrade our 1st by bundling up points and then just take best available. Whoever's best available probably won't be a pure inside mid, key position or ruck, so as long as they're not any of those things they can fit well enough. Obviously if best available coincides with needs that's ideal.Who do we all want from this draft? Assuming Whan gets a bid around that pick 35-50 range (fingers crossed) we can potentially get 2 picks in before he gets a bid. It seems we will go best available Talent

Only problem there is Buddy giving it the old “ do it for the West “ when he couldn’t wait to get out of here and never looked backCoaches should be former legends or former coaches I reckon, keep clubland out of it, it’s not like they’re playing to a game plan or anything. They are both Ben Allan's Sons
Linc works with Clubby Sports on Tradies and FAF and its a running joke about his brother being in the AFL and his dad being an ex-AFL player

I’m not sure a full AFL reserves will be good for us. Maybe it would have fast tracked Ras but the extra travel load will affect kids not even in the side and shorten careers further.Totally agree. Lists should be back to 45, no rookies, fixed max 4 Cat Bs, no mid season draft.
Even better would be a full AFL Reserves comp supporting the above.

WC is desperate for this though since they have stuffed their development so bad with their own WAFL side.
Tom McCarthy is evidence of why the AFL won't get rid of the Mid Season Draft.Totally agree. The AFL is has shot itself in the foot by reducing list spots. Think you'll always need to hold one over just in case there's an injury in the warm up etc.It will help us a bit, if the travelling emergencies actually get to play a game (curtain raiser to main game)
Looking at the first round prospects looks like we could get another great talent. Seems like there are a heap of players that could go anywhere from 8-16I'd be really happy if our draft went like this.
1st round - Farrow or Dovaston.
2nd round - Fred Rodriguez
Then Match on Whan
DRAGONS FFC
I’d take himMay told by Dee’s to GAGF.

DRAGONS FFC
For boxing practice?I’d take him
Would be cheap from a trade perspective
He fits the Collingwood/Geelong Age bracketI’d take him

Dual assistant playing role? (Peel though because he's cooked). He can go round to all the players that don't respond to modern coaching techniques and tell them how shit they are in aggressive detail. For boxing practice?
As a tackle bag?
