He had a good 20m sprint (2.898), but doesn't sound like he's impressed down at Casey or that his athleticism has translated into any sort of exciting production. The SSP is one of the few ways we can attract non-WA talent, so it'd be a bit weird to see us lock into him. Apparently close with McVee, so if we do pick Taj up could be some non-footballing reasons to it.
Fun fact: despite being 2 years younger, both McVee and Taj played a WAFL Colts game alongside Jackson and Warner (and Walker and Rivers). Rounds 17 and 18 2019 respectively.
Train on and see what happens.

The improvements of GC and the lions has me a little less bullish… but yes, we are firmly in the window and should expect top four finishes for the next six years!
I am not that sold on GC. They have a great coach and their midfield depth is next level, but it does seem they are about to be raided. Humphrey, King, Rogers all likely to attract big money contracts. A few in their 30s as well with no clear replacements. They also lost a bit of depth in trade period.
Wouldn't be against bringing him back tbh.
Had to delist him last year after we decided to get Narkle - Reality was we just ran out of list space.
That was a stupid decision to pick up Narkle. Both Emmett and Stanley would've added more to the list IMO.
All things considered, while not exactly a sugar rush, I don't envy the trade periods of any other teams too dramatically over our's.
Petracca's preference was Adelaide. Curnow wanted Geelong. Mitchell's ****ery blew up in his face.
We made our moves discreetly, early and had our answers well before season's end.
Alot of these moves reek of desperation. I'm quite happy, for now, to presume that our lack of activity is just a steady hand upon the tiller and we are following a plotted course.

Yeah but if we were good without winning it 2017-2020 you'd be saying how unlucky we were to peak at the same time the Tigers did.
Even dynasty teams have missed out. Port 04, Swans 12, Eagles 18 all underdogs on the day and in the midst of what were in retrospect 3 premiership team peaks.
With any luck those teams will end up being annoyed that they peaked at the wrong time
The next 2 years will be very tough, but I think we are the best placed team for 2028-2029. Maybe even 2030 depending on how Bolton, Cox, Darcy are holding up. Brisbane have to drop off at some point, and I think GC get raided. And we have to make sure that if we can't win in the next 2 years, then we do a proper apprenticeship of making prelim finals if the QLD sides are going to fight it out. Pearce is my main concern with how long he can last and how we replace him.
