Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Assume Nic Martin (or someone else) is a concern then.Jaxon Binns (delisted from Carlton) trialing at Essendon. Won their 2km time trial recently.
There was a report indicating that Collingwood and Richmond were interested in Ben Hobbs.
Others that could get train-on opportunities:
- Will Setterfield
- Ted Clohessy
- Wade Derkson
You do hope when they inevitably die on the vine, they quote this year as ample proof it was entirely self-inflicted and that priority picks don't go their way.Jayden Stephenson is at Port apparently
Any chance of fred getting an invite to train with us? Or is it just a flat “no thanks” from us?Correct.
We can also move Sturt onto LTI but I suspect that won’t happen at this stage.
Sturt after an arthroscope of his knee around 7 Aug identified an unstable and deteriorated ACL then underwent ACL repair on 15 Aug. From what I can make of it and speaking to a knee surgeon it wasn’t fully ruptured so likely a good recovery and slightly quicker recovery (10-11 months). I’d say by the time pre-season returns in mid Jan he will start some light running (5 months post surgery).

We have Whan able to put his name up for Wing spot at some point. That is an extra player in itself.
So Cox and train on opportunity.

Gone I'm afraid. Sad day.Any chance of fred getting an invite to train with us? Or is it just a flat “no thanks” from us?
If attitude (or family) was most of the issue, then getting him over to WA and see how he goes for 2-3 weeks would be brilliant.NHH training with anyone?
Wouldn't mind seeing our last spot going to a midfielder that can offer something next season tbh.If attitude (or family) was most of the issue, then getting him over to WA and see how he goes for 2-3 weeks would be brilliant.

We won't need that mid much but we still played Fyfe a few times this year and will probably be phasing JOM out by year's end.
I know Robinson is coming but I've always thought we needed two over two years. As long as this mid doesn't play like a Robinson clone I think a mid is the best use if this last list spot.
Could potentially get around a winger but think we'll target E.Allan and/or L.Humphries pretty hard end of next year.
I'm not convinced we're to replace Sturt on the list tbh.Assuming Sturt moves to the LTI, we should have two spots.
Any recruit is unlikely to be in front of these players as a pure mid- Erasmus, Johnson, JOM, Young, Brayshaw, Serong.
Don't mind chasing a mature mid, but I think he needs to play a 2nd position to give him a chance of making the 22.
Would prefer a player who could play on a flank, or wing as well as in the centre square.
My wish list would be a player like NHH (talented but has some off field issues which could be correct)
I wonder how NHH is athletically, because his right foot looks elite. (Edit- 6:55 2km time trial is a red flag, but for a rookie you can probably live with it)
Sounds like Tobyn Murray. He has experience through the midfield and has a developed tank.Assuming Sturt moves to the LTI, we should have two spots.

I think a taller stronger body that can cope with the inside midfield role. You might just say we had one of those in Brodie but Brodie with a tank.Sounds like Tobyn Murray. He has experience through the midfield and has a developed tank.
We are also supposed to witness Jackson in the midfield more as well as Reid emerging.
Not sure I could bring myself to do that if my boy was picked up by the Eagles. Shudders, this is worst nightmare stuff.Oh I don’t know , going by the look on Fred’s old man’s face in this photo , I’d reckon he’d at least still be open to the idea!!

Was just about to say this exact thing. It's like she's saying 'just get the ****ing photo done' before she flung it across the room in the direction of the bin. Poor bastards. The hat hovering over his mum's head because she's too disgusted to wear it properly![]()

We have 44 players on our list.Surely Erasmus and Johnson, with Young, can fill that role. No problem with bringing in an explosive guy for the future or as depth though.
BizarreStrange choices position wise.
