The main one. Our first will be about pick 27. So likely pick 27 and 28/29. Can’t wait.
Yep I can’t wait either to see
(A)Rawlings stuffs up the pick and select a String bean slow player that won’t be around within 3 years or
(B)Rawlings performs a miracle selects a player that plays 200+ games and wins a Brownlow and Rising star.
But after all we are talking Rawlings so anything is possible and more then likely his mates at the club with protect him again and cover up his Fu-K ups.

With the quality of this years draft looking suspect, the combination of Mattlock and an early 2nd round pick for our pick doesn't appear like the daylight robbery that many suggested it was. I reckon Matt would be considered a top 5 talent in this weak draft.

Nah we got shafted. If we didn't bring in Daniel we wouldn't have needed to make the trade.

Would still have got Whitlock and still had our first rounder.

The only player I really like in this draft is Cooper Duff-Tytler. He's the one that has superstar factor.

Outside of him there's really nothing at the top end.
Out of curiosity mate, what about next year?

Is there much to get excited about that could be at the top end?

I still really like Onley, Greeves and Sharp, but I feel like their ceiling isn't as high as I originally thought.

Personally, I've really fallen off on Duursma and Curtin based off the academy games.

Going to be interesting to see how this years draft plays out, think many clubs might be trying to move out of it and into next year, especially with the academy bidding diluting the draft pool significantly. In saying that, there are still going to be some good value option role players available. I've mentioned before that I'm a fan of Dovaston and Whan amongst a few others.

Only time will tell whether he was worth the gamble.

they're underrating our boy sam harris
but good for us i guess

could end up with mccartney, devine and harris in next years draft all with matched bids
Would it be possible that the club has it on good authority that we will need picks to match bids hence the first rounder trade out and Whitlock pick?

Newbie, you just hit the nail on the head. It was never daylight robbery and the fact that Will identified Matt quite awhile ago tells me he would have no hesitation in using our first round pick on him if he were in this years draft, the only question mark would be Cooper Duff Tytler, he's improving at an alarming rate for a boy his size and its kinda funny that some people were screaming that we needed a key tall forward, we get arguably the equal best midfielder in the draft + the best key tall back/forward in his opinion and people scream about a pick 2/3/4/5 this year.

I think Will so far has done a great job {yes we probably wont know for about four or five years} but as I have stated we can trade in two years of picks if we identify a certain player this year even though the trade period is going to be very interesting if we offer two first round picks for someone. Because of the way we are performing at the moment everything is under the microscope, now I don't mind this but our drafting is the least of our concerns at the moment.
