Who do we want to win tonight?
Brisbane winning could give us a buffer over Geelong...but Geelong winning would just extend our gap in the top 2.
I'm inclined to just accept that Geelong will finish top 2 so we may as well root for the quickest option for us to secure a top 2 spot as well.

I'm resigned to Cats winning. Danger's 350th. Stadium fully decked out with supporters in Cats tees. And currently playing much better footy than Lions are.
Extending our gap in the top two probably is preferable. Also as much as I hate Geelong, having another Vic team in the top two improves our finals odds if we happen to lose the QF and make it through the hard way.
And also we’d rather get a home final at the G against the Crows/Freo/Suns

we currently have a game in hand (which will be against the eagles) over every other team in the 8. As long as we don’t drop the next two matches we will be in a more dominant ladder position by the end of next round

As long as we keep a gap to third it doesn't really matter. Let Geelong win the minor premiership and we'll ambush the campaigners like a reverse 2011

I was thinking about this as well, we only need a top 2 spot to have guaranteed home games throughout the finals.
Still I just cannot stomach seeing geelong with the top spot on the ladder.
