I want to play Adelaide. For the theatre of it. Because I'll get to go. Because we outplayed them recently (despite not getting the win) And because I think they're a chance of bottling it in what will be an insanely intense atmosphere.

My reasonings also.

Nice training run for cats again against a bottom 4 club. They won’t know what hits them in the first final with all these easy games.

Problem is they've been destroying the teams they should, which is a better form line than simply coming out on top after 3 quarters of struggle.

The Swans had been in decent form of late also, they started the match well at home, but Geelong still made light work of them in the end.

As much as I hate to say it, I feel they're to well run and coached to believe they'll beat themselves by not being prepared physically and mentally come the qualifying final.

They're beatable no doubt but they generally make you earn it all the way to the final siren.

There's definitely some chinks appearing in their armour. Hopefully they're big enough for us to burrow through and exploit their weak spot whenever we meet them in the finals.

Adelaide finished 15th in 2024 so they were always going to get an easy draw for 2025 and they finish top of the ladder in 2025. It's Geelong who were gifted....they played in a Preliminary Final in 2024, so going by how the AFL do the draw for the following year...the higher you finish the previous year the more difficult the fixture for a tram should be. Instead Geelong played quite a few weak teams twice. Not sure what the AFL were thinking..

I think Cats are clearly a more difficult matchup for us, both personnel and coaching.

Geelol last beat a top 8 team all the way back in round 8 against us with the extra scumpire assistance. It is possibly the easiest fixture you'll ever see from a top 4 finisher from the year before. They couldn't lie straight in bed.

Hawks getting a potential armchair ride the to GF makes me feel sick (although I feel the same for Geelong, but I’m used to it by now).

Personally I favour us more against Adelaide who are missing Rankine, Rachelle and have no finals experience than Geelong.
