Wondering how in the 1st half of the last 2 weeks we are able to share the footy, lower eyes, etc, then completely turn our toes up when the pressure ramps up

Plenty to unpack

Mental issues & teams grow an extra leg in the second half when playing us

Can’t agree with this. That should be paid 50 every single time.
Kemp came from behind and stood a good meter over the mark. It was a stupid mistake which should not happen.
100% the players fault.

Fair enough, would have thought the umpire would come across and set the mark given he did come from behind but no problem being corrected. Another little moment that could have been avoided.

2 very different games.
Umps slaughtered us against the Dogs. 3 of their 3rd quarter goals from bad umpiring, and then we gave away another free kick on the siren. And then 1-8 frees in the last.

On Thursday, Filth were getting on top in the 2nd, but missing their shots. 5 points to 1 goal (and 1 on the full).
Then we completely lost our confidence after half time.

You know I don't buy into umpires changing our fortunes, we had plenty of chances and we weren't good enough when it counted

Players need to stop turning their toes up when it gets tough.

Ollie at HB hasn't worked, nor will it ever with his characteristics. It's wing, HF or bust. I'm over the poor efforts Motlop has shown this year

Plenty of others ytoo

Did they work on this over the summer along with basic skills?

Worked on plenty during preseason, but you can't emulate gameday intensity. Players either want to dig in consistently throughout a game, or wait far too often for a teammate

There is a way to not be that guy.
Has plenty of mates at the moment
I think he's the least of our issues to be honest. Out of the small forwards he is the one that I see most trying to make things happen. Had a poor game on Thursday night but thought he was quite strong in the fortnight prior against two good teams. Feel like he has improved the defensive side to his game and is also now doing quite a bit of work up the ground. Only 21 years old and I just think he cops far too much rubbish from the fans because of an error here or there. He is not a gun by any means at the moment but I think we really need to keep persisting with him.

I don't care about age, draft pick, contract, etc.

So far this season I have seen some concerning signs. Having lazy, selfish moments

I agree he has had some moments were he has passed up a kick to a player in a better position to go for a goal himself. But not sure I agree with the lazy comment. His tackle pressure has gone up, his ability to get to contests has improved significantly and there have been some nice moments of proper desperation from him. One against Pies was on the wing when we was out-numbered 1-on-2 and he forced the ball over the boundary for a throw in. He doesn't do that it's a quick rebound for the Pies and potentially a scoring opportunity.

Habits that shouldn't exist
Some of these habits were ingrained in those that are our current leaders -- think ed doc Murph even Simmo -- I remember a passage when lipinksi looked to be penned in on the boundary he thought his way out of the situation - mcreeery same -- look Pendles sidebottom and so on taught all these guys to think not just react in panic .You need to clean out the panic merchants and start from there. .

Don't like players not bending over, not placing head over the pill to collect and or dish a release, instead of kicking it off the ground far too often

Has burnt his teammates a number of times

Only little things, hopefully he works through them

This shows a couple of dismal efforts from a couple. Saad, but the big one for me is Young. A guy who should be playing for his life given he's on the fringes at best yet coasts around like he's no idea where he's going.

I recall seeing vision of Voss and Newman having an animated discussion during the game. I wonder what role Newman has as he recovers from his knee injury. Then just on 360 there was training vision of them having a conversation. Maybe nothing....

Very interesting vision there.

My apologies the audio was definitely more interesting than the vision.
