Travaglia giving direction around stoppages and showing a bit of composure with ball in hand, won't be long until he's in the team I wouldn't reckon. I would be sweating if I was Byrnes.

I actually don't think the commentary is too bad for a VFL game. Definitely heard a lot worse.

Not sure who the female is but most of her comments makes sense. More than I can say about Dermott last night.

New year, very similar story. A lot of Sandy players looking like barely VFL quality. On cue, Schoenmakers with an excellent kick out, Sandy bloke fumbles an uncontested mark and turns it over.

Barret also a few good intercept marks.

Carroll especially impressive for mine, good speed and zip in traffic, actually looks a class above

Problem is Sandy has a ton of spuds out there, any good work gets undone the minute the ball needs to go through one of them.

I know this is said every season, but it’s past time that we split from Sandy and got our own VFL program. The top up player situation is diabolical and has been for some time and is becoming worse with the amount of turnover there is on the sandy list each year. It doesn’t bode well to developing young guys when they’re stuck playing with others who are not even VFL standard and are having to negotiate consistent clangers and basic skill errors. Watson is a good honest player, but he’s pretty much all there is. Look at Geelong’s top up players compared to ours, it’s night and day.

Boxshall excellent at stoppages and working well in close at evading, disposal has been a bit errant. A Seb Ross style good-at-stoppage-but-bombed-long type of game. Carroll been very composed in a team looking rushed and making some crap decisions with ball in hand.

Carroll has looked pretty sharp at times, Travaglia getting a bit of the ball but needs to tidy up his disposal. Which is basically the theme of the day for Sandi some of the skills have been park footy stuff. A lot of disjointed play and not a lot of understanding between the top up players and the Saints. I dont know how much training they do together but it is clearly not enough.

Heath kicked a nice goal just before 1/2 time, I still believe we wasted a list spot bringing in Boyd in front of Heath. Boyd hasnt looked any better than his predecessor Campbell, if anything TC is a better around the ground mark. Whereas Heath can at least hit the score board when resting forward.

Carroll been our best so far. Boxshall moves really nicely through the contest and has a nice step. His kicking has been pretty poor, but the forward structure is so deplorable, it's pretty much impossible to find targets forward of the ball.

Barrat will play a lot of AFL footy. He's just got it.

That female commentator is disgraceful, I had to turn the volume off. Why do they believe these females who have played Under 12 standard footy now know more about the game than others.
