All fair points but what about the Norths supporters. Pretty tough for them having to choose which team they want to watch that day.
Its not just supporters its medical staff, coaches etc who now have to be split between both games.. absolute insanity and completely avoidable.

Carlton having an 18 day break prior to Melbourne game and then 5 into the North good Friday clash is just ridiculous, absolutely no reason the Melb v Carlton game could not have been played Saturday to give Carlton 6 days break.

Eagles first 2 away games,
Longest road trip to play their first game against GC who had already played an in season game AT HOME the week before.
2nd away game also against a team that played a home game the week before and having to play the earliest game a WA club has ever had to play.

That's some nice fair FIXturing to start the year right there.
To be 2 & 1 is pretty damn pleasing though.

Another piece of AFL scheduling brilliance.....doesn't get much better...NOT!

23rd May...
1.15pm Marvel...... North v Suns AFL
2.05pm Arden St... North v Suns VFL
we had that 2 weeks ago vs Blues except VFL was the early game......

Who the hell wants to go to Thursday night games, they are ****ing awful.

Fridays are fine but I see little difference between A Friday night and Saturday night match.

It is the only game on at that time, what does it matter if they play games earlier in the day? How does that take away from the Showdown on at prime time Saturday night?
