I voted for Brisbane to win by a lot in the GF thread and I’m locking in the Lions for a 3peat.

Did “on the couch” steal their premiership window from this guy?

Hawks, Dogs and Suns as the next most likely.

Hard to see Brisbane not winning. GCS should rise too. Freo are the unknown. That list should be top 4.

Crows and Pies likely to fall a bit. Hawks possible to fall. So too Cats.

But its hard to imagine a bunch of clubs dropping out of the 8. Dogs obvious to move up. Saints will be better but I dont see it being enough. Swans too.

This year was so even. I dont think we see it again. Teams will need to stsrt the season firing.

Bottom 4 is from WCE, Dons, Roos and Tigers, Demons and Power.

Demons a big chance for 18th but WCE will be a chance again.

Essendon 1st team to get a new coach.

I mean we would love to finish 1st but my guess is everything will be about making top 4 and having the double chance. Im not sure how we beat Brisbane (probably twice - which would be needed to be ahead of them on the ladder).

When you do pre-season predictions it makes you realise one team home grounds are a massive advantage if you have a reasonably competitive team. eg If Swans home ground was MCG I would have them in bottom half of ladder but you feel like you have to give them 8+ wins at SCG.

So many people predicting Collingwood to fall away dramatically. Im not so sure.

I still think they will be 7th or 8th. Their top end is still strong and i think they will get more from Houston than they did this year.

Should have been more active in the trade period, but i don't see a dramatic fall.

Just a heads up - Lions finishing 1st is pretty unlikely. They tend to cruise through the season reserving their best footy for the top teams and finals. Will probably be a few unexpected losses to lower ranked teams, like this year with Melbourne.

That's bs. Easy to say that after you win. Were they cruising vs Geelong in the Qualifying Final too? Each club goes out to win every game. You can't. As if they wouldn't go for top spot. They just weren't good enough to do it.
