Honestly, this has been probably the least I've cared about our prospects going into 2026.

There is always a silver lining but I feel like that's only got people so far before it gets tiring and frustrating. The women have carried a lot of the joy that the kids have experienced watching North and the men have done the complete opposite. Probably damaged some of the rusted on interest we used to have and thus the next generation of supporters suffer.

We're coming from such a remarkably astronomical depth of shitness to just get ourselves out of the bottom four. Its good that the likes of McKercher put finals on the agenda and all but we need to actually get some form of consistency across the season first before we even think about finals.

We need to actually look like a football team. Just resemble something that isn't a mix and match. Hope ain't a tactic.

I didn’t get my membership card x2 memberships this year just the strap that’s what I meant, they weren’t in the packs I got yesterday.

This also happens because North members bring along mates or family members who are opposition supporters and the club cannot stop it.

They could have a no opposition colours in the premiership club rule. Or make sure level 2 tickets is not seen as enough to get in. You need a north premiership club membership.

Yeah. After getting a fair bit out of my system, I'm now a bit indifferent. This may change soon-ish but I think the women have actually made things worse during their run of domination; they've magnified the follies of the men's side, and brought me round to questioning why I'm so invested when the men clearly aren't as invested as the women. We've all spent hours typing out meaningless recommendations and emotional rants on here. There may actually be a breaking point for rusted-on fans. 2020 didn't bring it out. 2022 didn't bring it out. 2024 (an underrated-ly shit season) didn't bring it out. But I might actually be finally running out of ****s for this team that refuses to prove itself.

You're absolutely right. Looking like a football team is a must. A total non-negotiable. I'm not looking forward to the start of the season in the least atm, and that is squarely an indictment on them, not me. I'm the sucker who has paid thousands to watch this rubbish; that's the only badge of dishonour I'll claim

Saints tried this for this season and got big backlash from members. Rightfully so, benefit of membership to be able to bring mates. Only way to push oppo out is to gain a lot more attending members to sit in. More success will bring more people willing to upgrade memberships.
