Kye Annand from the Geelong VFL program shapes as a potential MSD option for teams looking to bolster their key defender stocks. In this game he showed his ability to shut down an opponent, take intercept marks and run off to rebound with efficient disposal.

What's his age?

Bamert looks interesting. Plays with POWER.

If there's a really high potential player of need then sure, but part of me wouldn't mind seeing what this leap could become in NM senior colours.
Sign me up if that’s him intercepting the ball in defence. He does have some intriguing traits, so I wouldn’t be upset if we land him regardless of where he plays.

Mick Ablett on SEN WA said his mail has Bombers taking Bamert. But this was before they secured the no.1 spot.
When queried about key defenders he mentioned a 200cm Kye Annand playing for Geelong vfl. Any one know much about him?

Annand our only link here, but supposedly will be selected by Richmond. Obviously looked at the 2 WA guys. Wonder if we pivot to Barnett?
Not one Werribee player mentioned. Watched them dominate Collinwood VFL on the weekend. 5 or 6 players could walk onto an AFL list.

22. 200cm.

Was a ruckman prior to this year
I just looked at his VFL stats this year,,,,, not a huge amount of data, but based on what's there looks like an intercepting machine, and very clean with ZERO turnovers.....that bit of vision looks very athletic for his size and very clean by hand and foot. Looks ideal for us, Media mention Richmond has interest.....just looking at their list, they've got 7 key defenders, 6 key forwards, and 3 rucks.....do they really think they need another?

If their list was healthy, no but how many of them are injured?

Hey North
My best mate is a fan of you'se, so l come in peace.
And we dont have an MSD thread
So, noticed that you have & wondering who your'e interested in.
Think you were into Annand but looks like the Tigers will take him now.
That probably means you will take Barnett from our grasp now.
Is Brodie Holland connected to your club? He has given high wraps to Barnett.
Maybe coached him at the Calder Cannons.
And congrats on the win last game, looking like your on the up again.
Which is good for the game
Cheers

Don’t believe Holland is connected to the club. And he currently coaches Barnett’s local side Maribyrnong Park seniors.

No tangible links to Barnett, but as you’ve said we may have to pivot.

The injury-afflicted Tigers, meantime, are well-placed to use pick two to secure Kye Annand, a 200-centimetre tall from Ocean Grove.

Annand has caught the eye of a range of clubs at the top end of Tuesday night’s draft with several clubs including West Coast, North Melbourne, and St Kilda interested if he slips through to their choice.

North Melbourne, who have pick six, will make one selection while neither the Giants nor the Suns will make a selection. The Kangaroos VFL player Xavier Bamert, who is an in and under player, is a chance to be added to the senior list.
