Twitter is a funny place sometimes - I can think of various reasons to not use the QR check-ins at different shops, but those who still roll out the line, "why would you want the government to know your whereabouts" does make me laugh

I'm sure the some secret file of my check-ins showing strong link between 2 locations - where I get my coffee before work & then work, is just so interesting for others

Never mind that info would be available via other sources like ATO records...

If the government wanted to know the whereabouts of folks, they don't need QR check-ins for that

What's weird to me is that crazy shiny new stadium in friggin' Inglewood, for crying out loud. I remember the Fabulous Forum in that location, saw the Lakers and a bunch of concerts there.

When I played in high school, summer pre-season was tough, even in northern states near Canada like mine. Could actually wring sweat out of the t-shirt under shoulderpads. Then there were the 4Q drills at the end of practice, ie: run til you puke.
Glad I didn't live in one of those hot, humid southern areas where they take football very serious.

I played gridiron football in Los Angeles, CA. Early 80s when the summer smog could get bad enough that your lungs were actually sore after workouts. 35-36C was a regular occurrence in Aug/Sept California. Plus the prevailing coach wisdom in those benighted times was NO WATER, because you'd cramp up. I'm surprised more kids didn't just keel over and croak.

The only saving grace is that we weren't humid like the Southeast.

I agree. Completely insane IMO, the exact opposite of what we do now, at least I hope they let the kids hydrate.
