I mentioned it here earlier in the week - I was hunting for someone 900k or less to partner with Zorko this week. Colby was the one I originally gravitated towards.

Asked the Traders about it mid week, their opinion was to wait until they get the green light from Colby to jump on (for those unaware Cal from the traders used to teach Colby in Launceston).

As a result of that I chaned tact and brought Watkins in. I was going to take $500k into next week, felt alright with the decision. By the end of the Saints game, with Zorko struggling to a 90 my league match ups were looking dire. There was always some chat in here of question marks over Watkins with the whole Brodie - Wines thing and I beagn to get cold feet. There had been rumours late in the week of Colby training with the defenders. I said **** it. Bringing in a defender gave me 22 on field instead of 21 with Watkins and a loop in the midfield, plus Colby had Essendon. Even if the move back didnt fully materialize until next week - hey he has Essendon anyway.

Pulled the trigger and was rewarded with a big tonne and passing his breakeven.

Sometimes you need to go for it.

Same.. I had Watkins, changed last minute to Murphy Reid.
Due to the fact the rain wasn't anywhere as bad as first predicted. Regret this decision immensely now.

Why’d you stop Watkins

I didn't get Watkins because I was scared of his low time on ground and job security. He's started well, but spent a long time on the bench towards the end of the second quarter.
