Rozee to Houston
Petracca to Naicos/Holmes?

Was sold on Holmes as a POD but then realised I already have Gawn, Bont, English, Sinclair, Flanders and Bruhn with the round 16 bye. I currently only have Jordan Clark and Jagga for the round 14 bye.

Unsure if I'll make a rookie trade. Dovaston, Lombard and Sharp will be slow burns. Favouring Watkins over Cook if I make a trade.

Thoughts?

The Four Ruck problem is what is realy tearing at me. Get X in this week, get his price rise and points but next week you have to park Mc Andrew on the bench and you loose the Flexablity of having a DPP at the Flex.

Points Vs Flexabilty I guess it boils down too and I really have no clue which way to go.
I went all year with four rucks and it was a nightmare, but i have done it again because i can't miss X and can't trade Tinglish

Burn my flex position to run three rucks on the field? Gawn, Grundy and X? Thoughts? I had a brainfade and still have K White instead of grabbing Mcandrew.
Whatever you do get McAndrew

Logic isn't allowed around here.

Worry about points first, worry about flexibility later.

I've got Gawn/Xerri/English/McAndrew. Who knows, maybe one gets injured at some point, then you have more flexibility than others in terms of replacement. Maybe that doesn't happen, but then when it's time to cash in McAndrew, you're getting his cash from the bench as opposed to on-field which will be nice.

Regardless, take the guy/s who you think will be the best scorers.

Skipping Cook and doing this by moving McAndrew to R3 for 1 round while English has bye (I have Blakiston going next week to swing Grlj down to Def to give room). Zorko a little scary but has a really good run.

Not sure which way to go.

Cash gen vs premo on hold for a week

Trac/Rozee/Young
Xerri/Watkins/Cook
600k bank for next week

OR

Trac/Rozee/Young
Xerri/NWM/Watkins or Cook
100k bank

Can't bring in X without fudging up my structure. Have to rely on an extra rookie scoring 40's on my field. Can he scored 200 every week to make up the difference? 😅

Rozee > Houston (not sold but cheap)
Trac > Flanders (yes, didn't start him)
Sharp > Holmes/Naicos (can't decide)

190k left ITB. have to pass on Watkins and Cook..

Wait a week for Flanders

Get cook instead, its a50k + benefit

Don't like leaving 450k itb. My thoughts were I could grab Scerri next week. DDP also and 50k cheaper? I can see the crom struggling tonight not sure on cooks output

The comment of a desperate man 😉

It's a non-issue IMO. Everyone has Flanders and I'm only carrying Sincs/Fonti next week.
Everything's an issue on this board .....if it ain't, we make it an issue

Still got Young on the bench, but hopefully becomes a POD in a few weeks. Got all of Blamires, Watkins, Marshall and Robertson. Just missing Cook and still got Pou on field unfortunately.

Not quite sure, strategically, whether to pick up an 'underpriced' player this week and do upgrades next week or get the points on the field while I can?

I suppose it boils down to this - last week I could have brought in a proper mid premium (for Gulden) and went Sicily instead as Sicily was about to jump in value and I think will be a good (and cheapish) D6 this year.

I've brought in 2 rookies this week already and am trading Rozee. Have so far gone to Holmes. Keen on a premium who has had his bye.

Thing is (outside of Sheezel and obvs Petracca when he returns) I don't like any of the current forward premiums. Coniglio looks set to get fwd status, in which case he would be a handy F4-6 that only costs $365K this week and is set to go up $25K odd.

Not sure whether to get the value while I can (but have an inferior team this week and huge bank) or just play it safe and bring in the premo now and bank the points for this week?

I think if you (rightly) don't like any of the fwd premos to replace Trac, use that position to generate cash. A Cook who can set up a DPP link, a Gothard with a 3rd game 84 rolling through etc. Then decide whether rookies like Watkins on other lines are must haves, if yes save the war chest for next week, if you don't like them pick ur best premium option.

Personally like most I hate the fwd premos and will wait until DPP changes before going there, so Cook comes in. Watkins should make super fast cash and be safe for a couple of weeks, so another rookie comes in fo Sharp. Then will flick Rozee to a Def premo but still carry 500K into next week when there are more options available.

Might bring in Jayden Short

Thanks.

Have actually gone Trac - Cook, and rook - Watkins already.

Trying to decide on 3rd trade (for Rozee).

Do I go the 'value' option in Coniglio (as it appears he will get forward status) or go straight to Holmes now and get some points on the field?

(Holmes is safe and a lock it in premium, with points to keep pace this week but is also not going anywhere in terms of value so could be brought in just as easily next week. Coniglio has great scoring history, will get fwd status and is cheap (going up $25K this week) but means less points now and is a risk as he has had consistent injuries the last 2 years)

What do you think?

(P.S. Strangely, I'm happy to ignore Houston and Worrell for one more week to see if the scoring/role continues for Houston and the injury cloud for Worrell. The reason I feel differently is that there are lots of premo options in defence but very thin up forward)

Wasnt sure where to put this with no Rd 3 game thread as yet

I'm so sick of the news I've stopped reading it.

Literally the first time I've heard of this legitimately. Thought it was some meme originally. Does WA even get cyclones down that far?
