In April, he signed a two-year contract extension until the end of 2028.I think he re-signed recently.
Nobody actually wants to stay at Essendon, it was signed under duress and can be annulled. In April, he signed a two-year contract extension until the end of 2028.

No harm in throwing up ideas! Please forgive the heretical thinking, but how about offering up JDG and Beau, as well as a couple of firsts, for Butters?
(Sorry. Just trying to think of a way of amassing sufficient trade capital to get it done)
If they were Kettle chips then sorry I’m taking the chipsI'd take Cripps for Chipps
While I dont see us getting either of these two, I’d much rather go for Caddy over King myself
Reckon Caddy would suit our particular style better
But either way I’m still praying we’re going all out for Butters
Edit. I would actually love for us to go for Archer May again. His 18 months is up this year and I’m sure he’d still want to be at Collingwood
We stood behind them at all times - we were led to the ball. Except for ND who was often blocked.
Our beginning position therefore needs to change against dominant Rucks, from there at least we have a chance to get first possession, because we have no chance otherwise. Could we have done worse than losing CB clearance 19-5?
We may not have the cattle but we need to at least change it up.
They care about effective clearances. They don't care about scrappy ones. So the overall number doesn't matter.And.........If Fly cared about centre clearances he would have fixed it by now, it has been a problem for some time now.

So reductive hahaYou will have to think higher, Fly's on record saying he doesn't care about clearances and kicking efficiency. It's here to stay.
Unfortunately he's on hawthorn's listThe clubs were told today they will all be able to list 1 extra rookie each year (starting end of this year) reserved exclusively for indigenous players
You would think young Varcoe and Collins on our VFL list might be a chance if they show something at VFL level this year
Bobby’s cousin at Box Hill another option

The Magpies have made a preliminary inquiry into whether the AFL’s top centre clearance winner (4.1 a game) would consider extending his career in Melbourne beyond this year.
Despite the intense scrutiny on his marriage split over summer, Neale, 32, has been in superb form this year, averaging 30.6 disposals, seven clearances and six score involvements a game.
But Neale is yet to seriously consider whether he is prepared to leave Brisbane Lions after putting off a decision on his future until later in the year.
Collingwood has said it wants to keep its early draft picks this year but would be able to snare the dual Brownlow Medalist for nothing as an unrestricted free agent.
Importantly, Neale could provide a huge boost for Daicos next season as champion Scott Pendleburyprepares to equal the AFL’s all-times games record (432 games) against Geelong on Saturday night at the MCG.PLAYERCARDSTART10Scott Pendlebury

But the Suns remain confident King will stay, while Jamarra Ugle-Hagan can clinch an automatic contract extension for next year if he hits a 10-12 games-based trigger this year.
The Suns’ faith in Ugle-Hagan has been rewarded so far this season with the ace goal kicker settling down off-the-field after a turbulent final year at the Western Bulldogs in 2025.
Suns’ forward Jed Walter faces an uncertain future, however, after losing his spot in the senior side amid a slow start to the season kicking six goals in four games.

Free agent Butters is weighing up interest from Western Bulldogs and Geelong.
There you go - didn’t realise - thought he was a VFL listerUnfortunately he's on hawthorn's list

I’m not here to make an enemy, just stirring.Quality post - but unfortunately you think he’s getting delisted.
Not sure why it’s shaky? He was the first to drop that we were in to Titch in 2022 and he was bang on the money. I think he has some reasonable sources in regards to who we target.Again, shaky source but Jay Clark on First Crack just now causally dropping that we’re into Nate Caddy
Such as Pendles who he's good friends with? Not sure why it’s shaky? He was the first to drop that we were in to Titch in 2022 and he was bang on the money. I think he has some reasonable sources in regards to who we target.
Feel sorry for the rage baiter. No credCornes thinks we ain’t a destination club we don’t attract top liners
Unfortunately he's on hawthorn's list
He’s uncontracted and whilst he doesn’t fit with the new rules I’d be having a crack. He looked sharp and if Hawthorn didn’t have a league best small forward group he’d be on the cusp of senior footy. Butler’s in a similar spot. There you go - didn’t realise - thought he was a VFL lister
