Would Pez going in to the middle open up a spot for Swadling though? Seems like they have Parker slated for that more defensive role. I think if anyone is potentially holding Swadling out it might be Sidey. Getting Josh back out on a wing and using Houston/Swadling as the attacking rebounders some time in the next 12 months makes makes sense to me given that’s where he looks like he’ll begin his career, much like Nick did.

My guess is they like his calmness and ball use behind the ball. On the scale of melon scratcher moves going on currently I’d have that at the lower end. For me the order is Jaicos continuing off HB, Long in the best 23 and Parker as the next man in seemingly whenever there’s a defender missing. We’ve seen enough of all three and it’s not taking us forward.

Because tbh, everytime I watch him I don’t see it…strikes me as a McStay type forward in the sense that he has a good mark, but otherwise doesn’t have footy smarts…

He’s an alright 21 year-old, but is undersized and relies entirely on converting very limited touches into goals. If he isn’t finding space on the lead he isn’t going to score. And, he doesn’t do much else
