Yup. We are doing well considering the amount of territory we are giving up. If we can even this up we will bounce back next year

I am in Geelong too - salty is one thing, but the collective delusion of Geelong fans in Geelong is bonkers. Reality is they've won 1 flag in 15 years. They will look you clear in the eyes and declare you are biased and delusional for stating that fact. Reality is they're recruiting gets them regular season wins, in no small part related to being the only Victorian team with a true home ground advantage. Then they bomb out in finals. Kardinia park means they are always a 2 win worse team than they appear to be.

we have many, many issues the one that has been constant for 10+ years is one I'd like to some day fix though

Yeah this continues to baffle me too

I really do wonder what people see when they watch us play lol

Particularly when it's proven time and time again (including by us in 2023) that you can win a flag without a gun key forward.

Get your midfield right, get your defence right and the forward line will benefit no matter who is in there. Our defence is mostly right, but our midfield is utterly and completely broken/inept/impotent/inconsistent (take your pick).

We can put prime Franklin in that forward line, what good would it do if it:

a) Doesn't get down there
b) Doesn't get down there quick enough
c) Doesn't go in there properly
d) Combination of the all of the above

Fly wanted Moore in the ruck, he's been thinking about it for a while, with all due respect the senior coach might know a bit more about his players capabilities than you.

Kane can’t wrap his head around Neale potentially coming to Victoria. It actually makes a heap of sense.

Also, we’re the only club actually crying out for a mid like him, he goes to Adelaide and they’ve already got a decent midfield cycle. Freo shouldn’t even be in the conversation.

I agree. Moore has little value right now as a defender if our other guys are fit. Might as well see if we can get him going as a ruck this year.

It’s a long shot, but could win us a premiership if it works.
