Neale is neither. He is a bridge mid, who will help take the load of nick and will also be on fielder leader for our young players. He’s absolutely elite mate. We need to decide if we’re topping up or thinking longer term though which at present looks the latter
Had to check - end of next year. Ralphy going stupidly early. Some suggest these journos need to keep it in their pants, but I don't think they ever get it out in time.Is he contracted beyond this year?
Yes. OOC post 2027. Re-contract post 2026, IMO. He’s one injury away from it blowing up again so I assume it’s in the best interests of both parties to wait.Is he contracted beyond this year?
Just continuosly try to add through every means available. He’s absolutely elite mate. We need to decide if we’re topping up or thinking longer term though which at present looks the latter
How is being Saints-like working out for the Saints? The one is certain is that Collingwood need to be Saints like or even more aggressive otherwise we know, they know, the cliff is coming, and it'll be 10+ years with Tassie coming in to recover!!!
Ralphy seemingly keen to retain his title as Dumbest Reporter on Earth.
Sydney and Geelong have proven if you can add elite talent regularly it’s possible stay at the top for a long time. We have done remarkably well with fringe players from other clubs so a few stars coming aboard would be nice. No idea how we do it thoughJust continuosly try to add through every means available.
He's talking about whether we'll offer him up as trade at the end of this year.Ralphy seemingly keen to retain his title as Dumbest Reporter on Earth.
Not only is it impossible for a club to test the market for what pick we might get(that comes after the player signs with the destination club), there is no doubt that the compensation for a player like Jordy who will be 32 at the start of the 28 season would be bugger all. No test required.
How important is the execution on the right players? The strategy was bang on, but TDK and Flanders in particular were just not moving the dial. If Wilson leaves will it go down as a Ned Guy level cluster****? Otherwise known as Tuesday for Gubby? How is being Saints-like working out for the Saints?
I’m all for being aggressive but blowing $4.5m a year on a good, but nowhere near top 5 mid, a below average ruck and a so-so defender with a terrible injury history doesn’t sound appealing to me at all.

"what kind of pick the Pies could secure" reads FA to me. Either way, Ralphy still dumb. Only question is whether I am too. He's talking about whether we'll offer him up as trade at the end of this year.

Oh I hadn’t even factored Flanders in! That brings the total up to $5.4m including the $2m to retain Nas!How important is the execution on the right players? FWIW the irony is the one that perhaps looked most sus given his body and the conflict of interest with his dad looks a![]()
Crazy shit. They overpaid big timeOh I hadn’t even factored Flanders in! That brings the total up to $5.4m including the $2m to retain Nas!
It makes the $1.7m we spent on Pez and Houston look conservative.Crazy shit. They overpaid big time
I would be pretty thrilled if we stripped QLD of 2 elite talents and a solid defender to boot. His missus wants to come back to Vic, and imo she’ll inevitably get what she wants and GC know it. That’s why GC are suddenly throwing cash at Walter, with the prospect of Kimg leaving they can’t really afford to lose Walter as well.
I’m choosing to believe we’ll land Neale, King and Ballard this off season, and anyone who tries to convince me otherwise can naff off.
He's contracted until the end of 2028, right? What a random player to bring up
Now that’s what I call a proper Texan namelol Wrong Tex.
Gus Teixeira from Sandringham
He's trying to manipulate the final outcome so we don't get better than them. These sort of sideways guilt manipulations are one of my pet hates. Now I hope we get him for 2 reasons instead of one. Come on Leppa, make it happen!View attachment 2633708
Not sure why Neale going to a vic club would be such a head scratcher for Fages? He’s a free agent. He can go wherever he likes.
I think people forget, at the end of the day, he also should do what’s best for himself, and if that’s a lucrative longer term contract, at a club that is crying out for his services, and it still works with seeing his children then why not?
Reading between it sounds like Fagan is asking him are you moving for your kids or for yourself? He’s indirectly putting pressure on Neale to choose between only Perth and Adelaide.
The fact that he’s even commenting on it to this depth tells me he knows Neale could be a chance of leaving for us. Very interesting language used.
Shit journalism. Unfortunately continues to put meals on his tableRalf stirring the pot
Guessing Ralphy is a microwave meal for 1 kinda guy.Shit journalism. Unfortunately continues to put meals on his table
