Yes. OOC post 2027. Re-contract post 2026, IMO. He’s one injury away from it blowing up again so I assume it’s in the best interests of both parties to wait.

How is being Saints-like working out for the Saints?
I’m all for being aggressive but blowing $4.5m a year on a good, but nowhere near top 5 mid, a below average ruck and a so-so defender with a terrible injury history doesn’t sound appealing to me at all.

Not only is it impossible for a club to test the market for what pick we might get(that comes after the player signs with the destination club), there is no doubt that the compensation for a player like Jordy who will be 32 at the start of the 28 season would be bugger all. No test required.

Sydney and Geelong have proven if you can add elite talent regularly it’s possible stay at the top for a long time. We have done remarkably well with fringe players from other clubs so a few stars coming aboard would be nice. No idea how we do it though

I think people forget, at the end of the day, he also should do what’s best for himself, and if that’s a lucrative longer term contract, at a club that is crying out for his services, and it still works with seeing his children then why not?

Reading between it sounds like Fagan is asking him are you moving for your kids or for yourself? He’s indirectly putting pressure on Neale to choose between only Perth and Adelaide.

The fact that he’s even commenting on it to this depth tells me he knows Neale could be a chance of leaving for us. Very interesting language used.

I’m choosing to believe we’ll land Neale, King and Ballard this off season, and anyone who tries to convince me otherwise can naff off.

I would be pretty thrilled if we stripped QLD of 2 elite talents and a solid defender to boot.

He's trying to manipulate the final outcome so we don't get better than them. These sort of sideways guilt manipulations are one of my pet hates. Now I hope we get him for 2 reasons instead of one. Come on Leppa, make it happen!
