Interesting listening to Geish this morning, he’s been playing against men since the age of 15 (Wentworth) and this year in the SANFL
Obviously he’s making the transition to the next level up easily, to the extent there’s not a lot of difference in his performance from the Nationals to SANFL. Hopefully he makes the next step (AFL) as seamlessly.

Gotta say, thought Shifters and Mick Abletts comparisons to Cumming last night were way off the mark.
Shifter thought Dunkley, Ablett going with Newcombe.

The only other Cumming to ever play for us was indeed one of KB's several understudies, the constantly overshadowed Daryl Cumming. As soon as Vlastuin retires get this chap straight into the Cumming number, 1.

Hales from the same neck too, I wonder if he is related in any way. I think Daryl did something silly like played in 4 flags in 4 different grades for the Tigers. No, here it is, played in 7 premierships for the Tigers. U/19's flags in 67, 68, 69, 70. Reserves flags in 71, 73. Senior flag 74. Only missed in 72 when he played in the losing Grand Final v the Blues. 7 flags in 8 years with the top flight runner-up finish in the other season. But even in that season we outscored the Blues across 3 matches against them in the finals series, so we'll give Cumming Snr a moral flag for that, giving him 8 in 8 seasons. Astonishing.
