You mean the bloke who wouldn't talk to a club games record holder because he was injured and therefore not a senior player. You mean the bloke that could not be contacted on a Thursday because it was golf day. You mean the bloke who spent all his time pointing out how ordinary the club was but none of his time trying to fix it. You mean the bloke that thought that Stephen Milne was a hack and shouldn't play league footy (Just for those who don't know Milne is one of the few small forward to average 2+ goals a game).

The club made a mistake in appointing Malcolm Blight, it wasn't a mistake getting rid of him. How is it that simpletons can't get their head around something like this?? Since Blight departed the club, the club has improved immeasureably on and off field. We have a coach who has taken a club from winning 7 of 70 games to consecutive prelim finals. How about you get your hand out of your pants and actually spend a little time reviewing the game and forming your own opinion rather than just spouting off something you read in a newspaper.

For so long the culture at your club was just ******** creek for so long, you had an enforcer that came in and everyone SHAT themsleves because they where scared to do some hard work!!!!!

As I said thumbs up to Blight for pointing out everywhere we were terrible, but his job wasn't just to point them out, he was there to try and fix it. I don't blame the bloke, he's heart wasn't in it he just accepted an offer to good to refuse, He wasn't the right man for the job!! He was, should and always will be remembered as a great coach and because of him and his reputation a lot of good things came to our club, increased membership and the signatures of Hamill, Gehrig and Voss. However he didn't want to be there and he was not going to be the man to take us to our second flag.

Now lets talk about your current coach, whatever he has done to the culture of the place is a thumbs up, but he doesnt know enough about the game...for god sake.....he hasnt even played the game at AFL level!

Are you discounting VFL games?? GT played 80 games for St Kilda, Fitzroy and North Melbourne, he also played at centre half back for Victoria

You may well be right, you are entitled to your opinion. However I cannot see how st kilda's improvement and performances can still leave you so adamant. For a bloke who can't coach he has done an amazing job, when vendetta merchants like Patrick Smith start changing their tune (Smith named Thomas his 2005 coach of the year) you start to realise that he must be doing something right

Considering, that I didn't say we were the salvation of victorian football I don't know how this has anything to do with me. Fair enough though until we add to our trophy cabinet it is true to say that we have not been succesful.

Secondly, as the other guy pointed out Grant played 80 VFL games for the Saints, Roys and the Kangas. You don't understand do you? The VFL was the AFL back then but it was played between Vic teams. Understand?????????

I have been only following AFL in my life time... not VFL... I didn't think this was a VFL board.

A team like the Blues has it over the Saints in the AFL by one Flag.. good on them.. they also have a spoon over us, cheating ways and a very bad future.
Glad they can't use their money to get them flags like they could in the old comp.

Collingwood fans also have a flag over us.. well done to them. And if they want to act like they're still good because of the old comp, well, someone remind them that the Saints and the Pies have both won a flag each since 1958. (I doubt much Pies postsers here were alive before that)

All this bashing of clubs becomes a tad boring. I care just as much about the VFL past as I do about the SAFL & WAFL, ect... sfa...

I am interest in the current times though, and we are up there winning games so I can't really complain.
