Love this kid so much. There's something so good about having a gut running role-player that ocassionally bobs up for a cheeky goal or two.

One of the best things we've ever done was swap him with Zerk.

Duursma one of the bravest players on our list. Never takes a backwards step. Unfortunately sometimes he does put himself in harms way because of that.

Xavier Duursma should also be available for selection this week after receiving a heavy hit to the abdominal region during the final term of the round six win over West Coast last Friday.

Duursma was sent to hospital post-game as a precaution, however was given the all-clear shortly after and returned to the team hotel later that night – he is expected to play on Anzac Day.

Controversial but I thought he was one of our best. TV does not do the amount of defensive running and ground he covers any sort of justice.

He has a solid work ethic. If he’s off it’s bc he’s playing w injury/niggle or the team game plan is off. Yday he wasn’t 100% fit imo. He was hit hard last week. Strong kid.

Was sore. His running is incredible, shows how badly we have missed his type. One of our most important players and we need more of him.

No and I'm playing devil's advocate to an extent here but if you have a look at their numbers for the season they are very similar. Very similar turnover/ clanger/ effective disposal numbers which seems to be one of the main knocks on McGrath right now.

This guy certainly fits the bill. Just doesn't get the plaudits he really deserves. Not flashy, no frills, no fuss, just goes about his game.
