Cam is a huge steal for carlton IMO.
He has speed, class, genuine footy smarts, leadership and grunt. Anyone who has watched APS footy the last 3 years will know why this kid was selected off a limited top age season.
Only knock would be his height but he has the attributes to work around that.

Trying not to get too excited again but after reading about this kid from various sources, I get the feeling SOS knows a bit about building and what is required to become an AFL player. Not getting too excited just yet but quietly confident that we are finally in the best hands possible and the legend of SOS might just be rewritten at CFC!

You didn't exactly have an ideal 2016, you played 3 TAC games, but were named in the bests in 2 of those prior to injury.

You're also quite quick and I noticed that you are adept at kicking with both feet.

Looks to move well around (and through) traffic, and have a nice burst of speed - based on the highlights video, appears to have similar attributes to what would've attracted Silvagni to David Cuningham. Good goal sense, too.

He's been in the TAC for two years, just seems to have not had much of a run at it this year due to balancing his footy fixtures and then injury in the second half of the season.

Injury took Simpkin and Mitchell out of the top 10, Withedren out of the top 20, Allison out of the top 30, Larkey out of the top 50 and McCarthy out of the draft. Just that kind of year.

Stephen Silvagni says: "Cam only played a couple of games early and dislocated his shoulder, but we think he's going to be a very good player. He's a 184cm midfielder, who captained Haileybury College and played at the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup. He did a sub-three-second 20m sprint at the Combine."

obviously he still growing and according to the Silvagni he's currently at 184 centimetres ....so Polson is not short so could get a v tough AFL rig on him with solid sessions in the gym as he continues to grow taller
