Apart from winning, that is
1. The match committee went in with a definite plan on how to shut down Melbourne. Playing Milburn up forward on Bizzel was an indication of this. Bizzel was kept to 9 possessions and had no influence on the game.
2. Bomber actually made some coaching moves that worked. After half time Milburn was moved away from Bizzel who then proceeded to have 4-5 possessions in 5 minutes. Milburn was moved back to Bizzel and the game turned back in our favour. Grgic was moved up forward and kicked a great goal as well as providing a target. Normally Bomber would leave Bizzel to please himself and try something like putting Graham up forward and moving Grgic onto Neitz.
3. We got the ball down quickly to Kingsley in the final quarter who able to convert.
Much of our problem (it still happened on Saturday) has been that we haven't honoured the leads when Kingsley & Mooney have led. Holding on to the ball for too long has allowed the opposition to flood our forward line. In the last quarter the dam burst and Kingsley had no problem taking advantage of it.
I'm sure you can add a few more things (like, King was given a break and hadplenty left in the final quarter) etc.
All the best,
Chris
