1: Hawk fans are no where near as pathetic has bombers supporters.
2: our midfield is still not firing at 100%
3: if we play like that against geelong we will get killed.

yes its negative after a win but deadset against an actual team and not washed up drug cheats we would get pulled apart serving up that shit. the bombers couldn't even beat Ainslie playing the way they did. i know, know when you score heavily you inevitably bleed goals the other way but deadset we went to sleep at time's through that game. do that to an actual AFL team and we would have watched that lead shrink to nothing and been over run by 3qtr time.

This is so wrong.
Teams don't just not play well.
They play as well as they are allowed to.
swans are now a highly talented list across the park - with ruck being only obvious Deficiency.
Freo and Essendon didn't play badly - they were smashed and outrun comprehensively.
And I expect we will do precisely the same to Geelong.

1. Craig Bird will do whatever role he is required to great effect and without question.

2. The spread of midfield goal kickers is back.

3. Surely Tom Mitchell, Ryan O'Keeffe or Dean Towers (going on reserves form) would have been more effective as sub than what Brandon Jack offered against Essendon (and Brisbane).

Cheers
Justice

1. D Rex............the new Mummy with his second third & fourth efforts after a ruck contest at ground level. One can't help but like the guy, forgiving the odd brain fade that may come with the package.

2. Rampe............future leader of the club, who plays tall or small & has a huge heart.

3. Laidler.............once again proves that certain players must be played in their best positions.
Memo Mick. Laidler is not & never was a forward. Has 'defender' written all over him. Carlton's loss, our gain.

1 Derrickx can jump (if only he'd bought that ball down, mark of the year?)

2 I love this game plan - good coaching, right players in the right roles.

3 Specialist crumbing small forward - POSITION VACANT (but do we need one?)

Would top our forward line off with a classy small forward ( J Garlett ? ). A walters , Wingard sort of player would make that forward even more dangerous.

Wingard is a superstar hardly likely to be available

i dont think we really need a crumber. theyre rarely consistent enough to be more valuable than being able to rotate mids through the.position.

our game consists of the.mids pushing up and creating pressure, so thats a pretty good substitute for a good crumber.

a crumber would be the cream, but I'll take team balance over that luxury

Yeah, put me in the crumber not needed camp. Its a spot carried out by a rotating mid in my vision.

BJ should push up higher.

1. Thought & expected Essendon to be better than that.. I was Wrong..
2. Essendon boo poo fans are big w***er losers.
3. Melcho has a hard head..

1. When Buddy marks within range of goal, if he kicks it he has a chance but if he tries to play on he has no chance.
2. Tom Derickx: quite a handy addition to our list, was quite good last night.
3. Sometimes, when we have big leads, we can lapse and let the opposition get a few goals. Something we'll have to fix for Geelong and Port.

As for point 3 we are not a perfect football team every team gives up leads Geelong last week almost lost after giving up a 7 goal lead against Richmond it happens.

We are playing a opposition not witches hats.

Our 2012 season we gave up a lot of big leads see Essendon, Hawthorn(SCG), Collingwood.

yeah looking at the AFL match centre stats we were beaten or even (thereabouts) in all the stats but some how managed to win by 9 goals - must have been a hell of a first quarter and a half
We smashed them in the first, we kicked the first 5 or 6 before they even scored. I don't really pay much attention to the stats because we eased off in the second half.

I like our approach a bit more than Hawthorns. We get a lead and just hold the opposition at arms length without burning ourselves out, switching on when we need to. Essendon got a run of 3 or 3 goals and started pegging the margin back, crowd was getting noisy, so what did we do? Kicked 3 in a row I think and silenced the crowd.

I think we have some issues entering the forward 50 and just bombing it too much.

Our inside 50's have been a hell of a lot better the past few weeks compared to the start of the year/end of last

True, but end of 3rd and most of 4th quarter we were just pinging it long without crumbers at the forwards feet. Fletcher was able to 2 man up at some occasions

1. Some Swans fans were too quick to criticise their coach
2. The Heppel brothers were conjoined at birth, sharing a single brain cell. That Ch7 interview was painful.
3. Bird and Jetta never get enough credit.

1) It was pathetic of Essendon supporters to boo an injured umpire.
2) To the aisle 47 Level 3 Bombers supporters who bitched and moaned for the whole game about nothing and claimed the Swans where given 15 goals - find a brain between you all.
3) To the Hawks supporter there, you showed some grace.

Go Swans

Commentary
1. Tough to glean that Swans led by 50 with Bruce gushing over young Essendon players all night.
2. Essendon are "so brave". Jesus.
3. Hope all Swans fans appreciate now how good we are.

Hey Leg End, what did you think of the ump getting knocked out? lol

Personally Ive watched it a few times and all I can come up with was that it was a bit of "look at me" time.. Fair dinkum my mum used to kiss me good night harder than that and it knocked him out? It looked like a soccer dive but saying that I heard the audio and he was chucking up so not sure he was faking it all but no wonder he took up umpiring instead of playing football.

1. Flood our fwd line you just give our fleet of goal scoring mids more goals

2. Rely on one loose man and at least one of Tippo or Buddy will end up with one to beat and score at will

3. Derickx has arrived
