Glad to see some love for Pykey.

Impossible to completely handle Mummy. But Pyke dominated for periods. Well done big man.

1. Despite the round 1 shock, still has a long time til a true rivalry will build. The best rivalries are built on the back of good contests and mutual respect. GWS are lippy shits that have nothing to back them up. Roughing up Buddy, all I could think was that "dude, you're just a kid giving shit to a dual premiership and Coleman medal winner, get your hand off it"

2. Canadians are just as annoying as Americans at sports games. Some dudes next to me were terrible

3. Nanna blankets are the best thing in winter

1. We have been in so-so form for the last 3 weeks and still won.
2. Why would the Hawks let Buddy go?
3. Goodes doesn't need to go to Perth, give Membrey a go.

LOL NORF[/QUOTE
Goodes is doing his job ok, just cant kick at goal anymore as his set up is terrible for such a champ

1. Pyke is B.I.T
2. LOL, GWS don't half carry on like they mean something, look at the scoreboard, flogs.
3. That handball from Goodes to Jetta, Just how?!

1. In my opinion Sam Reid needs marking practice.
2. The team as a whole are guilty of over using the ball at crucial times often gifting the opposition a shot on goal or an easy turnover.
3. Thank God for Buddy his boot has saved us the last few weeks.
4. Our ball skills and execution was woeful. Some of our players need to learn to lower their eyes. Too many times did the ball miss its mark last night.

1.This derby lacks a key ingredient.....Respect.
2. McGlynn plays above his weight
3. We can get dragged down by crappy opposition

1. Messy skills. Time to bring out the training barn.
2. Pyke getting rid of Mummy. Lloyd locking Mummy in a tackle.
3. McGlynn, Kennedy, Buddy and Breust. We sure have got some nice players from Hawthorn.

1. Pikey - the ruck is gonna be ok.

2. We miss Shaw's run down back - surely it's time to give Rohan a go.

3. No need for Goodsey to cross the nullabor next week - the time is right for Membrey.

4. We need more grunt in the ruck - Mitchell has to come in and help JPK.

Breust is one that got away from us. His a bit of a hush, hush situation around the club.

Yeah Lenny got away too, he played his junior footy for Pennant hill if memory serves me correctly.

Remember seeing a North "home" game at the scg vs the Saints (please don't flame me. I'm a footy tragic) and this kid from NSW was playing one of his first games.

Turns out he was a lifelong Swans fan. Not often a future Captain gets missed like that.

But then again we took Fosdike and Jude as our two picks so it wasn't exactly a disaster.

Here they come, the one's that have come on the bandwagon recently and have not seen Goodes as a superstar. He put in last night.
I agree he is a superstar.
Still think he can rest a week.

All the top EPL clubs rotate their players. Geelong has done it for years.

Makes sense to me.

It was Jude or Lenny.

I think we picked correctly on that front
I'm not sure correct is the right expression. Maybe the correct is either would have been a wonderful addition to both clubs.

Perhaps correctly would have been to have selected l Hayes at four instead of Ryan Fitzgerald.

Never seen him refuse a 30m kick like that. I've always thought he is one of our most bankable kickers.

Any idea what the problem is?

He is gone. No-one on hear is quite willing to admit it, but the evidence mounts week by week that he is now a bits player. A superbly talented one who is constantly looking to handball to teammates in the open. He is rarely backwards of centre which is a pity because he was so damaging in stoppages, but I think the team worries more about his opponent getting free and reckons we have enough inside mids.

It's really sad but most people are willing to play him for the 2-3 moments of brilliance per game now. Watching him closely involves watching his man repeatedly run off him, him not attempting marks and miss hitting kicks. He is basically playing as a forward line rover trying to get to dangerous positions at tippets feet. From there - 25 meters out he will rove looking to handpass or shoot.

If he averages 1.5 goals per game - could membrey supply that ?

But Breust is! Apparently we didn't rate him. He was a skinny kid and we never really rated his kicking style........ look at him now killing it for the Hawks. 26 goals straight and counting.
